Probably going to get some flack for this, but I hate nets.  They're an unexciting way to win, and anyone can just buy one from Home Depot, so what's to stop everybody from using them against spinners?

They should've put like a tire or something in there, something ring-shaped and flexible. That would've done the trick just as much.

It was dumb but it was effective. GR didn't just hit the box and the net fell away. It seemed like the net itself was engineered itself to actually be functional and not just a prop.

I doubt that very much.  Duct tape would be enough to keep it from falling away, and pretty much any cargo net would work as an entangler.

I'm still not entirely sure why Warhead got a wildcard, other than them being vets. Kind of glad Witch Doctor got a wildcard since they seemed like one of the better multibots there that also got a bad draw.

Also, the whole "late hit" thing was made a bigger deal than it was imo. Yeah it was a stupid move, but it wasn't that big of a hit anyways.

He actually said in an interview he was quite the Battlebots fan back in the day, and wanted to do the role.


Best part is he had to teach Chris Rose about some of the Robot Combat Basics/History, and on his Twitter he corrected someone's screwup on Robot Combat History.

Obviously tombstone I mean he's probably the most powerful horizontal spinbot in battle bot's history I mean the thing can slice a bowling ball for God sale how can you complete with that but my runner up is bronco because again the most powerful flip bot in the competition right now. And they both t.k.o'd their opponents in less than 3:00 mins like wow...

I'm glad that CC didn't get a wildcard. That net was a dick move, even though it wasn't mentioned in the rules. Plus I think Nightmare should've got Wildcard instead of Chomp.

Thoughts on today's episode:
-If Nightmare wasn't given the wildcard it really really should've.
-Why Warhead of all bots. WHy.
-Following Complete Control vs. Ghost Raptor, does anyone here happen to know if BB posted an official set of rules? Don't remember Whyachi and the like having to worry about nets...
-Lockjaw's blow after the bell was a lil' cheap. But honestly, what kind of damage could have really been done? Just a couple extra scratches that's it. (Also Lockjaw remains my second pick if Tombstone somehow loses)
-Would appreciate less nonsense next ep. pls

You never know what kind of damage could be caused by any hit of any kind. That's why late hits are explicitly banned, imagine if the hit knocked a battery loose and it shorted out, frying the internals. An exaggerated example of course but you never know what damage you can cause.

tbh when i found out he was going to be a commentator i was really surprised. like, he's really cool and all but i didn't know he was a battlebots fan

Even when they did the rematch though it fought better than Warhead did. It caused damage, was sorta aggressive, and had like half a lift.
