I played the new bleeding build and 2 WD robots are still a bit hard to drive. Can you reduce the friction more?
Its really not friction as its the floor having terrible stats, try driving 2wd bots over the pit and you will see that they are driving good

Talking about the pit floor though - I have found that when AI bots drive over the closed pit, they then take to driving in endless circles like they've lost all other bots and dunno where to go? It's not until I push them away off of it that they go back to fighting normally.

This sounds like an issue with hazard detection/avoidance. They might be treating the closed pit as a hazard area, and then panicking once they're on top of it, because they know to avoid hazard areas but don't know what to do when inside one...? Idk, just spitballing. Certainly needs to be looked into.
This is actually an issue since 2.01 build

Another thing that should be looked into is the damage. If a spinner hits a weapon/wheel on an axle it will:
-Do its thing and send the bot flying
-Lose weapon momentum completely like hitting a wall

Latter happens most of the time

I have a bug where every bot I've built in the current build is immune to elimination by pits and ring-outs, so I don't know if she'd be allowed. D:
This has been a bug that effects every single robot since the August06 patch.  I'm pretty sure everyone knows of it.  It shouldn't affect your ability to get in.

Otherwise, I love the disc.  I need to learn how to make hollow things like that.
Yeah if a bot gets pitted, it is considered pitted, its a game bug so dont worry about it

The Problem is that Ressetti' s bots would get destroyed by RWRA2 ones

Explain why not, apart from some replicas being made better than others

A: Stuff is not gonna be balanced. IF stuff is balanced to its 400kg max weightclass, and stock is just stock. Also 2.1 bots that primarily used 2.1 parts wont work well with 2.2 nerfed parts

B: Stuff is gonna get overwritten and there will be more clutter

Im pretty sure asbestosstar did the same thing and literally noone is using it

Tried the new build and...

  • Eliminated a source of garbage in the miniscript handler we built for the game (not in Miniscript itself!).  This should reduce stuttering due to garbage collection for user-created robots.  kix, I believe this is the source of the jankiness you were seeing for the past few builds.  Let me know if it is still there!
Stuttering is gone, fps is as is, i limited it and it doesnt affect the physics

  • Removed the really annoying cyan-tinted albedo texture from steel and aluminum.  This should make it easier to match colors.

  • Reduced friction on all physics materials except for rubber.  Hopefully this makes robots easier to drive and more realistic.  Please let me know if things can slide easily enough.  I can reduce friction a little more if it is necessary.

Yeah no, bots still bounce. Maybe its not the friction of materials, Try using the pit floor stats on the arena floor


  • Eliminated the ability to break off objects.  This is in preparation for the new damage system which will break off armor plates instead.

About that...


I guess pulleys are not fixed

Series 7 arena has oota zones issues. Mainly one being infront of the the front wall

alright so the poll isn't finished, but it looks like the 3 metas will be stock hw (unrealistic), ironforge hw (standard), and dsl 2.2 (irl)

as for irl rules: would people prefer the 2/4 or 4/6 meta? which ever one passes will be slightly modified to a little more encompassing in terms of weapons, but it'll still. be familiar to those who play IRL
Id honestly go for 2/4 meta, as even tho matches will be potentially less destructive/more boring, other types would have better chances winning and the tournament would likely have less spinners

So this has been bothering me for a few seconds now and i gotta call that person out.
TheRoboteer is a toxic scumbag and i have proof (actually several):
-His irl post is actually just a way of him telling to us that he is better than us all and that he is that "i know everything so shut up" guy
-He is a blatant liar. He said that he was sh** on csgo but he was obviously lying. Its deffo not because I'm sh**
-His style of building is aggravating, his refusal of using bfe is the reason he hasnt won a tournament
-He obviously is just a douchebag, he just needs a yt channel for his toxicity
