I don't want to be the bane of people's happiness here but I've tried the Hammer AI 1.1 and the results are far less than desirable. Having build a hammer bot and having spent about 4 hours to make it look pretty, today I decided to cope/paste the hammer AI into the game's AI editor to see if it'll work for my bot. The moment I pressed the Save AI button, my entire PC crashed. Seriously, this happened. I wish I were joking.

After booting back up and looking in game, the whole bot is now an error and can't be accessed. The file is still around so I guess I'll attach it to this comment. Perhaps someone here can somehow restore it or can at least get some useful info from digging through this wreck.
(I sure hope this file is the right one. It's the highest number file name and was my latest creation.)
Sorry the bot file is just a line of NUL's, its fubar.

In ai battles weapons seem to be more durable. However if a lifter or a flipper is entered with a motor powering it, it will fall off pretty easily (in my case i entered DUCK). I'd say, keep the wheelfix for wheels and flippers, As for axes, its a mixed bag, on one side, wheelfix will remove the ability to damage opponents, on the other hand no wheelfix means that the axe will fall off. Now using a burst is a thing, but its too powerful. Might enter an axebot to see how it does

Look, this all looks promising, but i have seen that you have been spending money, and a big ammount of it. Inless you have some big marketing plans, i hardly see yiu gaining huge profit from it.
Patreon is a questionable thing, as this isnt a huge community.

I'm all for the weapons not falling off ect, my issue with the wheel fix on weapons however is the fact once this is in effect it no longer classes it as a weapon and instead as a wheel. After a while of battle, once a robot deals a hit with it's spinner the robot itself is dealt damage rather than the opposing robot.

I just feel like from here this would be easily exploited by having robots with static weapons beating those with spinning weapons (which lets be honest, it would be very rare for a static weapon to beat a spinner).

That's just my two cents on the topic though.
Well in parsec rumble, this is taken to consideration, and if a bot does kill itself it goes to the judges. However in this game, i dont think that that is a good idea

Sounds a bit like cheating if you ask me, but guess I'll fix up Phantasm later today before sending it in.
Better to see this than your weapon falling off in 2 hits

Why isn’t it legal? And didn’t I say I don’t paint my bots?
Well it isnt legal because the gearboxes are sticking out, You can paint the bots in material section, there is a tint option

Not a fan. Its too generic also the wheels are on the spinning part which is really not legal

Painter did not work since then first released the botlab

Ok so here are some thoughts after a month of playing the October 10th build:
The Positive:
- The damage has been improved by a good bit.
- There is no sudden limit on custom shapes that would occur so ayy thats great
- The Gearboxes are a godsend, you can really make more stuff more compact, and the bots can be a bit more slimmer
The Negative:
- As much as you have reduced the friction there is an issue where sliding exist, and its a bit too much
- The friction however didnt also fix the driving, even if we thought so. Main issue is that 2wd bots with wheels on the back will still bounce, the further behind the wheel is, the more bounce it has. It again seems that the pit lid that you can drive on untill it gets activated and descend has something to it that makes it perfect. The bots just dont bounce at all.
- If i play the game with 2 controllers, in settings there will be only one controller selected. You can change it so every person has its own controller controls, but after exiting the match, settings reset.
- Settings reset to stock. Music unmutes, unless you delete it in the game folder, The internal resolution reverts back to 1280X720 every time you enter or exit something.
- We need an option to both: Remove the dreadful texture on poly/UHMW/Alu material, and the option to make Alu/Steel parts be white. The only way atm is to set the RGB values from 1 to 2 in the rr2bot file.

With everything what i just said, i still play the game as its not as bad as it was 4 or 5 months ago, its actually pretty good. Its just that it needs improvements.
