Love the "NEXT TIME" section, that's a neat idea.

DSL TC Showcases / Re: Bildschirms Bots! (Also Hi!)« on: June 13, 2018, 02:33:29 PM »
Yeah, not bad at all. Reminds me of my old 4WD HS. Not much to say that hasn't already been said: a standard Perm instead of a reinforced one will save you some weight, and it could do with a splash of colour as it's kinda bland-looking right now. You've definitely been improving, though!

Discussion / Re: DSL weapon motors feel terribly weak next to real life« on: June 05, 2018, 02:39:12 PM »
I think RWRA2 actually did this. There was a weapon motor that was both tiny and extremely overpowered, so with a good enough weapon you could punt opponents across (or even out of) the arena, like in real life. Of course, you also get the recoil/gyro like in real life, and at high enough speeds your bot will just start shaking and fly off uncontrollably.

Oh man, I'd be all for this. Whether it's just a further series of IRL packs or a full-blown TC, I'd love to see you coming out with more components. It's always great to have more stuff to play with.

Robot Rumble 2.0 / Re: Robot Rumble 2.0 - Robot Combat Simulator - Under Development« on: February 26, 2018, 05:04:35 PM »It was just something I happened to notice while playing the latest build. What clinched it was when I started turning and the bar started filling up faster, because I had three motors running instead of one. Controlling overheating sounds like an interesting game mechanic (and should make it harder for people to make unrealistic bots with tonnes of weapon/drive motorsWhat does the bar under the HP bar represent? Would be useful for it to show CO2 levels on Eruption or spinner speed on CarbideOn Carbide, at least, it appears to represent motor temperature or something. If you have the weapon spinning for too long, the bar starts to fill with red, and you have to release the weapon button to get it to lower again. I don't know what happens if the bar fills all the way up but I'm guessing the weapon just stops working. ![]() 412

Seems cjbruce hasn't posted about it here yet but there's a new build out, with breakable components, new components for the bot lab, and a prototype version of the arena builder, among other things. I'm only posting about it because I want to offer some feedback:
Still looks great and feels great, though. Rome wasn't built in a day, as they say. Keep up the good work! 416

Real Robotics Discussion / Re: BATTLEBOTS SEASON THREE CONFIRMED« on: February 08, 2018, 03:58:50 PM »
I'm intrigued by the new rules. I wonder if the maximum tip speed rule is a reaction to HellaChopper. Certainly they won't be the only ones affected, though (I believe Nightmare's tip speed was 300mph, and Tombstone's was 350mph?) And the 10lb cosmetics allowance sounds pretty cool too, bots can squeeze every last ounce out of the weight limit without compromising on looks.
I'm really looking forward to this. 418

DSL TC Showcases / Re: F1Krazy's DSL Showcase« on: December 03, 2017, 12:55:33 PM »
Went a bit mad and built a tank. Currently 771.7kg, Pl10 armour, with two red batteries and two large CO2 canisters. The turret is servo-operated and conceals a Medium VDMA piston with a 100cm Heavy Spike as the "munitions", though I'm thinking about switching it to a Sgt. Bash-style flamethrower. The weapon's too high off the ground to hit most opponents, it's top-heavy and easily gets outwedged and tipped over, but hey, it looks cool, right?
