well that's why you showcase your robots, to improve as a builder. No one ever got better by whining about how bad they were.

okay yeah you have your disc cutting through the belt of the perm on that one as well, which is unrealistic. You need to fix that for it to be considered a tournament legal robot.

Existing Games / NASCAR AGD Series 2016 - GTM Signups« on: June 02, 2016, 11:59:05 AM »
(Note: AGD stands for ARC, GTM, and Discord, the three groups I'm running this for. Discord means explicitly the Garry's Wars Discord channel but i thought AGD sounded better than AGG)
Been a while since I did one of these. It's back with a few changes on the logistics side of things in order to make things easier. Rules: For this, you can run a team and create drivers to run in it. TEAMS Choose a make (Chevy, Dodge, Ford or Toyota) Choose the number of cars in the team (1-4) Choose numbers for your cars (0-99 with 00-09 also) Choose sponsors (must be relevant to 2016 and should be something you would see in real life) Owners should try to paint their team's cars themselves if they are able. However, I will be able to paint cars for you if you need to. The mod we will be using is the BullRing 2015 mod. The link below includes a download to that mod as well as paint templates for the cars we will be running. http://bigdonlinemotorsports.com/Sprintcupseries.html For your drivers, you must fill out the following stat card: Aggression: Consistency: Finishing: Qualifying: Road Course: Short Track: Speedway: Superspeedway: All cars will have an equal pit crew and vehicle stats, so it's just the driver you need to worry about. You have 680 points to spend. No stat can be higher than 100 and no stat can be lower than 60. The way NR2003 stats work means your stats will vary slightly per race, the number you put in is the high value and the low value will be 20 points lower than that. **NEW RULE: For every car your team has, your maximum point total per driver will decrease by 20. You must come up with realistic names for your drivers. It doesn't have to be your real name, but make it realistic. I will not allow any names that would not be passed off as real. I will allow more than 1 user on a team, but try to keep it just your own made up drivers. Points system: 46 for first 42 for second 41 for third, etc. The last place car gets 2 points 1 bonus point if you lead any number of laps 1 more bonus point for the driver who leads the most laps The season's schedule will be a truncated version of the actual NASCAR schedule, basically removing the second races at every track and adding a third road course: Since I'm running this for three different groups here, it is likely that there will be more cars signed up than the 42-car limit in each race. If this happens, then there will be three races per race day: two short "heat races" to decide on the field for the main long race, with only the cars in the main race earning points for the race day. 1466

Going to hazard a guess and say he did this as a joke and isn't looking for advice.

Insides are definitely needed, yes.
Also, Naryar the screenshot key is F11. Still it's better than using a camera. Some quick things (assuming you're going for IRL and not standard): -Razors and tribars ae both pretty fragile, especially if that's a heavyweight. You really need stronger weapons on it. -your first LW seems to be unrealistic, I think the teeth are cutting through the wheels? -The last robot is actually pretty nice looking from an aesthetic standpoint. I like it. 1468
Tournament Archives / Re: Banter Wars - Robot Wars-Inspired Robot Arena Competition!« on: May 29, 2016, 11:59:18 PM »Still really not a fan of the observer bot, it really damages the quality of the battles quite badly imo. agree with this if theres still space i might throw something dumb together tomorrow because this looks like a lot of fun edit: the spinners in your tournament would be a lot livelier if they had a 'range':99 somewhere in their bindings lines :) 1469

tornado spikes are pretty meh (unless they got buffed in DSL2.2, idk if they did). I'd change them out for something more effective.
Also your drums are cutting 100% of the way through your skirt wedges making them unrealistic. 1470
General Support / Re: the bot picture show up no robot preview i started match and game crashed« on: May 29, 2016, 09:47:45 PM »
this glitch usually occurs when you skip a team in teams.txt, so i figure what you did was delete the team above this one. RA2 doesn't know how to handle that which is why it crashed.

RA3 may have been a dud out of the gate, but RA2 is definitely in good hands. Keep it up man.

Ironforge TC Showcases / Re: Fracture's Ironforge« on: May 28, 2016, 09:09:10 AM »
Ironforge was the first mod to fix that "bug" in the game (technically it wasnt, the dsl3 beta was, but i dont count that really), hence why everything is backwards.

Agreed there. I tried to make a spinner, turns like a servo. The AI has some decently fast weapons. What gives?
