Just like old times :3Quote from: Sparkey98 on June 29, 2011, 04:07:20 PMHeylets start a robot combat COUNTRYHOLLY GOD CHRISTSparkarse, shut up. That's not contributing anything.

Maybe a revival worldwide! And then once it does take shape, they'll one day look back on us, a ragtag bunch of misfits with a cool vision, and credit us with a new renaissance in the world of Robot Building, and engineering :3

If you really want people to make fun designs, you have to offer them athe chance to show them off in front of an audience of millions. But yeah, the money problem comes into it again.

Anyone know what happened to Typhoon 2? I liked it in Robot Wars.
I think SM is a pretty cool guy, eh builds unicycle-bots and doesn't afraid of anything

Robogladiators is way cooler :P[/shameless plug]

They've set up a pay-to-play robotic combat system that allows people to drive real heavyweight robots without much risk of damaging the robots or themselves. They'll even let you take one home for 1200 pounds, which is a crackin' good deal compared to the time/monetary cost of building an actual combat robot yourself.Sure it's docile, but it's a way to let interested spectators dip their toe into the lake of combat robots.
