The ENTIRE POINT of this was to get the 100 bots that are the most well-known, innovative and effective bots here. Categorizing it IMO just ruins it, as then all 4 lists would each have like 7 or 8 of the same bots and then what? I already said we can DECIDE on what ones make the cut.

AND IT'S HERE!!! DAYTONA!!
Tim Sauter started on the pole for the first race, but he didn't even get to lead a lap as Matt Armoset took it from him on turn 3. The first half of the race went mostly like this before a caution for debris on lap 33. I didn't find out what car it was from though. A couple of laps after the restart everyone pitted. Some sort of pit strategy I guess, no idea why they wouldn't just pit under caution (lol). After pit stops the field got spread out and people started getting lapped because of the lack of cautions. Another effect to this is that with 8 laps left people were pitting in droves including the leader at the time Fleischaker Kapsazinski (sp?), handing the lead to John Mickel, who pitted as well. After pit stops everyone who had gotten lapped had gotten theirs back, and Will Harvey was leading with 5 to go in a tiny pack of cars. However Timothy Johnson took the lead quickly and then half the drivers in the lead pack made last-minute pit stops, making the other half drop back and keeping 4 cars in the front: Timothy Johnson, John Mickel, Will Harvey and Garry Orilla. 1 to go and it was a tight battle for the lead. Timothy ran out of fuel coming into turn 3 and Mickel lost the lead to Will Harvey on the final stretch, so Will Harvey III wins Daytona. This is also Toyota's first win in its first start. Congrats to NFX! Final results: Will Harvey III John Mickel Garry Orilla John Chan Bobby McDonald Jack Steadman James Stein Scott McHale Kerry Grocutt Shane Graysen Fleischaker Kapsazinski Jonzu Goldstone David Jones Alex Valentine Rick Metablu Shaun McConnell Jason Chaser Andrew Baker Cal Spears Jr. Raymond Flask Marcus Rossi Bryce King Max Timber David Juchem Jerry Jamey Ralph Thompson Maku Sawaki Alex Campbell Matt Armoset Calum Huges Sam Quirrell Mike Jeffries Cael Ashby Tim Sauter Howard Owler Nick Forrest Chase Spader Timothy Johnson (Out of Fuel) Victer Segal (-1 lap) 8446

well hecko there. Saws aren't that good weapons in Stock, you'd be better off with a Disc and either Razor Tips or Iron Spikes.

also yeah we probably are going to have more than 100 candidates when we finish. We should just have a few veterans and stuff order them and then we could do a countdown video or three.

That's kinda the reason why I started this now. So we could look it over and get rid of the bots that people think aren't famous enough.
AntonYYYm definately was revolutionary for starting the BSG flipper craze (IIRC). Face Gasher... no. 8460
Discussion / Re: The Top 100 RA2 Bots of All Time« on: May 31, 2012, 08:21:44 AM »Well, it would be nice if I had one bot in the Top 100 list, and Missile Test was the only I could've thought of. yes it would be nice, but you don;t have any notable bots really. Missile Test got lucky that it didn't fight a wedge until DoA2. |
