what on earth is happening with avalanche what
Got limited and told if he kept posting garbage he would get a ban. He decided to keep posting garbage, ao he got banned for 6 months, and instead of waiting 6 months he made another account which got banned so his ban became a year. He then made another accout which got banned so his ban is permaban. Since then he's made 2 more accounts (CarbideChaos and GloryToWhatever). He's also been using these alt accounts on reddit to agree with himself/upvote himself and as alt accounts to try to get into the various combat robot discords he's been banned from.

I assume in the next 2 days he'll pop up with another account.
tl;dr avalanche did nothing wrong and all the mods are LITERALLY blumpf-supporting nazis

General Support / Re: Skin Corrupted
« on: October 21, 2017, 04:23:02 AM »
You managed to make the skin 1 pixel smaller than it has to be. Skin sizes must be powers of 2, such as 2048x2048. 2047x2047 won’t work.

Super clean, I really dig it. My only tiny complaint would be that the area behind the plexi panels and above the wheels/drive motors feels a lil bit empty, but that's a very small thing. Really neat build.

You're only allowed to mod other people's sh** if you're good enough: not an argument edition
Or are you guys gonna try and get a public statement of approval from Gabriel every time you make a mod? :>

We 0% approve of stuff like this and would prefer the mod left as it's own entity for the pure reasoning we're happy with it. Adding any other work may not be to the same standards we set ourselves.
That said, at the end of the day, we can't stop you doing anything. We've always adopted the viewpoint above and would kindly suggest you don't call it an Ultimate Remix. In our view, the original is the ultimate. :)
I’m sure Gabriel would also not approve of the DSL mod. It feels very hypocritical to me to be so protective and opposed to the alteration of your mod. It certainly goes against the spirit of the GTM modding community as a whole.

Stock Showcases / Re: Antweight Showcase - pictures gone weird
« on: October 08, 2017, 11:14:57 AM »
Make sure you insert your screenshots into your post to make them easier to view

It looks like a pretty good start for an antweight. For low weightclass bots its extra important to make the chassis as small as possible. Your chassis looks pretty tight as is which is good but you might be able to get a little more out of it.

The spike club is a pretty terrible weapon. In stock, the only viable weapons are razors, iron spikes, maces and bear claws. Of those, razors should only be used when they will not come into contact with the opponent's weapons (i.e. in popups) as they have half the HP of other weapons for 70% of the weight, and bear claws should only be used on spinners due to their normals. The choice between maces and irons isn't usually too meaningful. In general, irons give better reach while maces are better at protecting the extender that they're on.

Last thing I would say is to make sure that your motors have enough power. I'm not sure if that's a single pink battery or multiple pinks stacked, but you'll need more than 1 or 2 pinks to power this bot

Good to see new builders giving stock a go :)

perfectly fine system

Okay, lets see what your last few challenge matches have been:
-vs Orc for DSL HW title: IRL against someone who rarely builds to win (you actually ended up losing this one, despite entering your usual psuedo-gutripper fare)
-vs LRA2 for DSL HW title: IRL against someone who builds to win and seeks "victory at any cost" (in his own words) but fails miserably at it
-vs Boto for DSL LW title: IRL against someone who thought submitting a skyscraper was a good idea

Looks like you were scooping up titles by trying to curbstomp IRL builders.
Because they would only build IRL, and every other mod/meta is pretty dead, so DSL-IRL was my only option for title matches. I even said I'd prefer to do DSL-S matches but nobody would agree.

nice really needed that perfectly fine system to be scrapped for a more restrictive and totally untested system
