I'm still trying to decide on my second HW entry, at this rate I'll probably just throw all my HWs into a random number generator and decide that way :P

You wouldn't think The Living Whacked's weapon would be very powerful, considering its glacial spin-up time, but those hammers are so strong that it doesn't even matter. Good example of why I always favour durability.
As is my own fight. I don't know what happened. My tactic was to just tip Reading Steiner over onto its back, where it'd get stuck, like in its last fight. It nearly worked, but "nearly" doesn't win fights. If I'd known Venom was gonna put out that much damage I woulda gone for the axe config and I probably would have won by KO. When the lifter went I knew I should've gone for the axe config, and I thought it was game over. But that gap in the chassis saved me, and then... I don't even know what happened to Reading Steiner. It just... stopped. That's not a victory I can be proud of, if I'm perfectly honest, but it's a victory nonetheless.
Not much to say about the other fights, I'd say they went more or less as expected.

...that was over quickly.
Another quick one. I knew Meat Locker's weaponry would be effective if it was given a chance, and Steve gave it more than a chance.

That went about as well as I expected. I don't think the axe would have made much difference there. Venom put up such a brave fight, I'm so proud of it... *sniff* Are we just destined to fight each other forever, F1? Hah. Our 4th match within a month, but this time you have some help, ya cheeky li'l sh**. See ya in the loser's bracket, lad!
Haha, seems like it xD Good luck, man.

I sent one last night as well, hope it's above-board and doesn't crash your game or anything

Hi
(Image removed from quote.)
Back row: Rammer with Flamer, Dustpan, Disc HS, SNS Middle row: Hammer, Saw, Dustpan Grabber, Overhead Bar HS, Anti-Hammer Rammer Front row: Flipper, Wedged Drum, Dustpan with Saw, Poker.
Jesus Christ I could never build a bot with that many attachments because it would take me sixteen hours to decide which one to use before a fight O.o This is amazing though, I can only imagine how much effort that all took.

Nearly on the second page hoo boyTime to do the seemingly popular thing and annoy Avalanche by posting multiple bots at once. My excuse is that I started work today, so my free time is gonna be MASSIVELY reduced. Might as well spam all the bots I haven't shown off yet while I have the chance. Firstly, a brand new Deathstalker built entirely from scratch, based on people's feedback and my own observations. Moved the motor forward so the axe has a longer reach, replaced the Vlad wedge with extenders, managed to fit more batteries in, and added wedge edges to the bottom of the front armour in a token attempt to make it harder to get under. Sadly it's too late for GTMRW or Death Battle but maybe someday... Next up, Valkyrie. A generic axe bot with great speed and pushing power, based on a similar and even more generic axe bot that I built in RWRA2 months ago. This was actually one of the first bots I built in DSL, alongside the original Vertigo, and I just never got round to posting it until now because it's basically just a box. Still a good machine though. And finally, Defcon. Like Valkyrie, it's based on an old RWRA2 robot of mine, and like Valkyrie, I've been meaning to post it for weeks. It's basically Terminal Velocity's rear-hinged cousin.

Oh boy, up against carboniZe right off the bat... that's not a particularly good draw... well, whatever happens, it'll be fun to see how Venom performs.

Don't know what was up with everyone wanting to see Hypershocked so far
Tactical voting.
?
Basically - and please don't take offence to this - people wanted Hypershocked in the final over Blizzard and Arachnida because they felt it was the weakest of the three, and so they'd have a better chance of winning than if Blizzard or Arachnida were in the final. I wanted to vote for it myself for the same reasons but decided to be objective and vote for Blizzard instead.

That looks pretty neat. What drive motors/batteries/chassis armor is it using?

Deathstalker was a nice bot, try to get the Axe length as well as the ground clearance issue fixed and please enter it again, loved it(minus the wedge part on the back, I'm generally not a fan of AI parts like that, also why I'm not too much of a fan of great suisse since it's a simple bot with mostly AI parts, but it's still a nice concept)
Just went back and completely rebuilt it from scratch; too late for GTMRW or Death Battle, sadly, but the new version will be handy for any future CW tournaments. EDIT: Also gonna address this point: Deathstalker vs Green Arrow Was a nice fight until Deathstalker's axe got stuck and it didn't try to self right anymore? Dunno what happened there but I think it got screwed out of victory again.
What happened there was, the axe motor's firing power is enough to right it if it's flipped, but its retracting power isn't. So if it gets flipped upside-down with the axe in the "fired" position, it's unable to retract the axe back to its starting position, and it's left stranded. That's happened in three of its four losses, and there's not really much I can do to prevent it happening, to be honest.

First Wild Card Rally entrant. I thought this would do much better than my other one, but it still did pretty good regardless.
Sorry about that You got your revenge in the third-place playoff though. The other bots all look pretty good as well. The one with the flame decals reminds me of Witch Doctor. I should try making a double-sided HS like your Death Battle entry (I already made a double-sided flipper so why not). Also something something SKELETON WAR.

Man, that was a fun rumble. I have avenged my loss to Green Arrow >:D Gonna have to watch through it again to count up how many rounds I survived, and add that to my win/loss stats.
Seriously gotta sort out that self-righting issue though, that's three times now I've lost because of it.
Congrats to Blizzard for the win btw, it deserved to get something out of this tourney.

And it was all going so well... Rob was right, though, that was much better than our Redditbots fight. I reckon if the axe could have hit just a bit lower, I would have had him. Ah well, c'est la vie. Well deserved, Rob.
Considering this was my first-ever GTM tournament, I definitely exceeded my own expectations, never mind anyone else's. Especially considering that (as far as I'm aware) Deathstalker was the only bot to make it to the final 4 undefeated. Now I guess I just have the awards and the Arachnida grudge match to look forward to.

If this isn't really part of your showcase, then I dunno whether it belongs in a separate thread, but whatever. 1. 3-Eyed 2. Blackness (whatever it's called, I really like the look of it, although I'm sure you must have compromised somewhere weight-wise) 3. Tempest 4. Crane 5. DrumHamma 6. ReachHaxs 7. HAMMAREACH 8. Leminion 9. MidFlip 10. WedgeFaceSpin 11. Spinz 12. Circles 13. Vamp 14. DUEH 15. WarHog

And f1krazy got jewed so hard in the 2nd round, got flipped by a havok but no havok restart or re-record
I counted that as another havok from Meat Locker, so he would have been havok DQ'ed anyway.
wait what. Am I crazy or did the havok happen after wen's motor was detached, in both rounds?
I just checked myself, and each havok was about 1-2 seconds after one of Wen's weapon motors came off. I assumed Meat Locker was the one causing the havoks, because it was the one flying off everywhere while Wen's was relatively stable, but is that not the case? TBH I'm not too mad either way, as I was losing on points on both occasions before the havok occurred, so even if this fight gets done again I'll mostly likely either lose again, or win by havok DQ, which isn't really a win.

Wen's bot was 2spoopy4me
Had a feeling that would happen tbh. At least I have another chance in the loser's bracket...

You're gonna need better weapon supports, especially for the LW and MW, otherwise those bots'll probably get rejected like mine initially were. Do what I did, have a look at Kurt's bots and use their extender supports as a guideline. Your CW also has way too many batteries and a needlessly large chassis. Those bots are gonna be pretty darn dangerous once they've been refined, though.
