the hidden ap on the snapper ii works like a servo in that it will always revert to its original position. make sure it face the correct way when you place it
flip your weapon motors so that the tribars are facing upwards, having them downwards is only really good if you're trying to make an undercutter or sweep with an sns. this should fix the issues with invertability.
when i said download bots from an ai pack i was actually serious. taking a look at how other hs are made is probably the best way to learn

find a way to get a wedge and a decent trapping setup. switch to razors and possibly downgrade the weapon motors if needed, adding more weapons is pointless on a FS like this

few things i've made for that tournament  true popup with 6 razors, 3wd, and one of each battery. wedges are inconsistent to say the least.  snappers let me build it wider and taller than a static setup. 20 maces, 120cm piston. actually a really good bot. it's wide enough to fight hs, and just barely tall enough to deweapon and beat most smaller disk vs. obviously not very good against bots like alien queen or tribar vs like vertical horizon. gets raped by wide melty sns.

Using a T extend you can almost perfectly align the motors, though it may effect invertability .
