Been a while! I just downloaded 2.3, messed around for a bit, and made this:

I call it Shinobi and it's a MW at 398.8Kg. It's pretty straightforward, here's the insides:
(Image removed from quote.)

Because the antenna is at a slight angle and the spinner spins super fast the antenna looks like it wiggles cutely while it attacks, it's the greatest thing ever lol
It's that DSL-S? Just to remind you, but DSL-IRL has grown a lot while you were absent, while DSL-S is dying (the most recent DSL-S tournament was Master of Disasters 2)

Also, hello and welcome back by the way. I'm a newbie player who joined two months ago, and there are a lot of other new players, like moziet, Bildschirm, FlamesOfIce, Nightraven Shade, Olister92, etc

How bout an arena that specializes in 3 robot battles.
A triangle shaped arena would be really cool for this although now that I think of it trapping in a corner might be an issue
Will making the corner round solve the issue?

For active weapon if your using a piston and it runs out of gas I'm going to assume using it as a ram will still count towards scoring?
Yes. Even with active weapons, the scoring won't be determined on it, so even if you lose your active weapon, you can still rack damage, aggression, and control points if your bot can

It's a good idea. But I disagree with the part where only HW is allowed. I will like if all weight classes are represented, because this will add a bit more variety with bots in different weight classes

Robot_Emperor.jpg

I have ideas to start a tournament. After getting the required programs, I can finally host it. Welcome to Robot Emperor

Rules:
-DSL-IRL HW
-There will be 16 entrants, divided into four groups of four. Each group will have a rumble, with two of the winners being allowed to advance into the main bracket.
-The main bracket will consist of eight robots, seeded based on their past history and performance on the qualifier rumble.
-1 entry per player
-If you cannot AI, I can AI for you. However, it is preferred if you AI your bot yourself
Build rules:
-All bots must incorporate at least one active weapon. For example, a rammer must have a moving weapon, like a stabbing spike, a lifting wedge etc.
-Thwackbots, SnS, and Meltybrain allowed. However, for the former two, they also have to incorporate at least one active weapon, unless if they can move while spinning, where they will be classified as a Meltybrain.
-Servobot is not allowed, unless if you can AI it yourself
-Clusterbots and drones are allowed. However, given the format of the tournament, be warned that during the qualifier rumble, only one of the clusterbot’s component can be entered. You can also enter a The Swarm style bot, but only two of the bots can enter per battle.
-Swiss army bots allowed, with unlimited amount of modularity, including major ones, like changing an entire weapon, or minor ones, like an attachment to help in a fight against a specific bot type. However, you must send me a message about what config do you want to use within 24 hours. If the 24 hours time runs up, then I will just use the original config.
-Walkers and shufflers allowed, with 100% and 50% weight bonus for them, respectively. However, that weight must only go to the propulsion system, and not any other, like armor, weapon, batteries, and  motors. Also, if you want to enter one, you must AI it yourself too, or it won’t be allowed to compete
-Geese NPC motors are fine. Madiaba smartzones are fine. DSC’s - IRL packs are also fine. CB2 components are also fine, as long as they are not abused too much, like using stronger version of non CB2 components, using the invisible motor, too much OP components, etc
-RA2CF, BFE, OBJRA2, and other tools or stuffs (like component skinning, though you have to send me the custom skin file too for that) to help with making IRL bots allowed
-Mechavore, Microvore, Minion, and Mini Minion disc is allowed. However, for those discs, and CB2 replica discs, there is a limit of one disc, and no mix and matching between discs.
-Eternalflame.py is banned
-Don’t be a tryhard and send one bot like that
Battle rules:
-Arena is the 2016 Robot Wars Arena
-Battles will be 3 minutes long
-Battles with Havok will be rerecorded. If I already recorded it three times after the original Havok’ed, and all of them end in Havok, then I will use the one with the mildest Havok.
-Robots that get immobilized (either by losing more than 50% of a clusterbot’s total weight, or losing mobility, which will be defined as controlled movement) will be counted out. In the event that the in game counter did not appear due to game limitation (like a bot considered moving, but uncontrolled, and being harassed by opponents), then I will start countdown manually, starting from 5 seconds after I detected no mobility.
-If 3 minutes passed without a KO, then a Judge’s decision will happen. There will be three categories to be scored for, with 35 points per bot:
Damage: 3 x (1-5)
Agression: 2 x (1-5)
Control: 2 x (1-5)

Accepted
Rejected

I never try because im not sure i create really good bot for tournament
there's not really any pressure, it's fun to build stuff and see it compete sometimes. don't have to build something 'tryhard' or whatever. just something you like doing
Yeah, in fact, tournaments can help you spot a flaw or two in your bot when it fights, so you can fix it. And I also like joining tournaments because it's fun to see my own bot fight against another

Awesome bots. I like them, but do you want to join tournaments, like Orc's Wars Extreme? It is a great tournament

Various moments from the fight of two of my own bots, OverChopper and Terminating Cutter II (Also worth to note thatthe latter bot shown in the fight is it's earlier version with unnecessary amount of batteries and no beaters). Also, picture spam ahead

OverChopper ripping a wheel and parts of Terminating Cutter II's chassis, along with two batteries

tbh i didn't know they was banned. I'm not the most current in GTM events.
From what I read in Discord, he spammed the PM of people with his messages, saying things like, I forget what is it, but I think it had something to do with sex

Yet again, I haven't readied my AW and BW yet. However, I made a new HW for the Unique Weapon section of Weapon's War of OWO, named Fastdrill. It is a 6WD bot, with 4 NPC fasts and 2 slimbodies. The weapon is a drill made of titanium extenders and a 80cm heavy spike, powered by a flatmotor. The armor is 10mm titanium. However, the drill unfortunately touched the ground, and I'm unable to find a larger wheel that won't intersect with each other. Also, unable to fix the skin resolution too (I use GIMP by the way)

I am taking a break from GTM. I know I post a lot of dumb stuff that makes people mad but I'm tired of people talking bad behind my back and flaming me.

Bye
Please don't leave. You have a lot of potential to become a great builder. Plus, what will you do if you don't interact with the RA2 community. Play RA2 alone, rather than joining tournaments

Made a DSL-S bot, which is rare for me. It's named Triangle of Doom 2 and made only for this month's challenge belt. It is a flail SnS, with three NPC fasts, three mini Vlad spikes on flails, and three static pointy tips. Armor is 3mm titanium (i think. Maybe it is 5mm, though I'm pretty sure it's 3mm)

Discussion / Re: Competitive Realistic: a new meta project
« on: July 11, 2018, 02:45:42 AM »
Why do we need to change this?
IRL is IRL
Unrealistic is Unrealistic
we dont need to dont need to make it competitive.
If you want to be competitive go to something like DSL-S
If you want to be creative and fun do IRL
So, tryhard design should never exist, because it is ugly for IRL, and depending on the weapon amount or wedge quality, less competitive and efficient in DSL-S, plus, the fact that RA2CF is illegal in DSL-S

Yeah, your bots are awesome. And I suggest entering them to tournaments. Orc's Wars Overclocked is now in Signup, and you can send bots in Destruction Evolution for it's third season

Creativity Showcase / Billy's Creative Showcase
« on: July 10, 2018, 09:18:54 AM »
Welcome to my IRL creative showcase. After seeing the CAD thread, I wanted to make on for myself. However, I then decided to make one for any creative things I done. So here it is. It is for any pictures, drawings, writings, CAD's, etc made by me. So, to start, I will show my two bot CAD's

1. (No name yet)

My first ever CAD of a bot, it was made four months ago, with Blender. It is 4WD, and equipped with lifting forks, as well as a small VS on the top and rear wedge. It underwent few changes, like lowering the ground clearance, making the forks wedged, and adding two teeth to the VS, but otherwise, it remained the same. I will fix the bot later though, after people pointed what's wrong with it

2. Vertical Rampage

My second bot CAD, and the first made with Tinkercad. It was made just a couple of days ago. It is a 4WD HW VS, with quick speed, maneuverability, and powerful weapon. However, it trades armor because of that.

I have added a bottom panel onto Get Framed, and also got it under the weight limit. Here are some bonus shots from the sides and back as well !
Good bot, but I suggest that you should crop your pictures, with one for external pic and one for internal pic. You can use MS Paint for that

So, sorry for not posting my AW and BW. I plan to, but since their skins are still wrong, I decided to showcase Saw Transport instead. It is inspired by Ginsu and Saw Point, and it is recently constructed today, which took me almost three hours. It is because Saw Transport is an extenderbot made of armor panels, and extenders only as attachment point for the panels, as well as the weapon support. I have to keep BFE'ing parts, especially the armor panels, though I also BFE the weapon support, in order to make the bot look clean and seamless. Drive is four NPC fasts, with 66cm saws. Weapon is flatmotor with 100cm disc and two large typhoons. The bot itself is constructed entirely out of titanium, with the exception of the bottom plate and the extenders.
