I love the front wedge in particular, but it's a beautiful bot all-around. My only gripe would be the exposed weapon motor

Discussion / Re: Is ra2cf acceptable in stock if it’s only to make legal stacks« on: May 04, 2018, 08:30:05 AM »
Technically no, but there's no way to tell if you used it or not so everyone uses it anyway. You might get caught if you do a stack that everyone knows you can't do legit, so you should learn to do the stack properly before just cheating.

Reminds me a lot of Philippa's bots. Skins are really nice. I like the first bot (except the drive motors poking out of the top), the bursts on the second just look out of place, they don't fit with the aesthetic IMO.

Doesn't #2 break the rules by revealing the builder in the splash (even if it's a red herring)?

Unless you're 090901. Anyway the arena was put up for a vote and the combat arena won, IMO it would be unfair to change the arena now because you didn't get the right result from the poll. 671

It's the Russians hacking your arena elections.

I'll definitely make something for this. Hopefully more people vote against the combat arena, since that arena lends itself so heavily to HS which are already a very dominant and bland bottype in the stock meta.

Site News and Feedback / Re: What can Gametechmods as a community do for you?« on: April 23, 2018, 10:56:32 PM »
Firstly, I'm super glad that we have a staff member voicing concerns about the state of the community and suggesting improvements, while asking for feedback. This kind of transparency is important and as a community member it's very encouraging to see.
Honestly I think that the death of the challenge board is partly responsible for the death of all the 'competitive' (read: Non-IRL) metas. The switch from the (admittedly seriously flawed) title and informal challenge system to the more restrictive challenge belt system was a pretty huge failure, I think that that's pretty clear to see right now. What do I want to get from GTM? Honestly I personally don't feel any reason to open RA2 right now. Showcases get very little feedback, and the feedback you do get is usually sub-10 word compliments with no real feedback or substance (I'm not sure what the staff can do about this; I certainly don't have any solutions in this regard). Tournaments are all pretty samey and full of re-entries, and there aren't many new tournaments. And as an average host, there's not much to motivate me to put in the effort outside of being able to view the battles themselves. And the challenge section seems deader than dead to me. I also think we should reconsider the position of BOTM in the community. It's basically a joke at this point and has been for a while. 677

Prefer the tail aesthetic of the old, I think the wedge on the new looks even better though! Really a top-tier bot.

mmm, this is my favourite bot in recent memory, it just looks so well put together. I love how it looks with the arm backwards.
can you BFE the burst a lil bit backwards so it's not poking through the wedge? |
