Well there was Pyramadroid from Battlebots which his strategy was to trap or lift other bots and take 'em to the hazards and he won a couple fights.
PyRAMidroid won like literally 1 non-FF fight in its entire career, and it wasn't a hazard victory. The only time it even made it to a battle with hazards active it was annihilated by MOE. Voltronic and The Probe are much better examples of robots that had a similar strategy.

You've got to remember we're putting on a show. In a two hour long show a minute and a half intro isn't too long, and it makes it seem so much more professional to the audience.
