Maybe you're using the wrong type of collision? IIRC there are like 3 or so types of collision, maybe someone more experienced can prove me wrong or something

nfx

I believe NFX has left. His signature 404'd and the placeholders say that they were moved or deleted by the user.

Yeah his Photobucket screwed up a while back. He's still very active on ARC.

Nice, I think this will be helpful for once Jonzu decides to do another Robot Wars competition. Resetti could use it too.

Not entirely sure (and possibly a dumb question), but is the whyachi tribar allowed by any chance?

Why wouldn't it? It's a standard part.

You know the Ruiner bar end's collision mesh is rotated 90 degrees right? So it's probably touching the ground and ruining your ability to damage things.

Also it looks more like a lawnmower than an insect IMO XD

edit: Why the pointless Co2 tank?

IMO, Conraaa hit the nail on the head with his comment.

However, speaking of contests that haven't taken place in over a years, I wouldn't mind seeing the GTM awards start up again.

We had the GTM Awards for 2012, Craaig ran them.

While I also like the brace it just doesn't fit the spirit of IRL at all. way too DSL-ish

Would a single piston that small be able to move a 120lb robot in that direction with such force IRL? I don't think so.
>MW IRL flippers

edit: crap I just realized this was a double post. oh well.

dude that piston is frickin tiny compared to like any flipper in the MW range

At the same time, interviews and the likes weren't 80% of RW and Battlebots. The actual combat is secondary to this show in it's current format.

Keep in mind those robots didn't have just 20 mins to repair and there was A LOT more of them per show. There's only 12-14 of these big beasts and I'm no expert but they look a lot more technical and tougher to put together and repair, So naturally with this show they need to fill in the time with build-up.

This is why this was flawed from the start. With BattleBots you could get 3-4 fights in a 30-minute episode because they were so inexpensive to build, and as a result there were so many of them, plus with four weight classes there were plenty of exciting fights. In this you can only get one or two fights in an episode because they need to stretch a single 12-bot single elimination bracket across an entire season.
