no no no you need a custom-built cfz compiler/decompiler. 7-zip isn't going to do anything. there's a couple in the downloads section here, i think lu-tze's is the one i used last time i needed one?

for stock, you need to un-compress the CFZ file. .txt files are in the components file, not in the component's specific folder. For more info, look here: http://beetlebros.gametechmods.com/modding.htm

You could run a separate selection for IRL, I'd be pretty stupid to cut most of the people from entering as non of them really build other metas
nothing's stopping you or anyone else from starting. that's what i like about this, it makes people learn new metas instead of just sticking to irl, and we desperately need new faces in stock and ironforge. have you seen the last couple of stock tournaments? entry lists are ****ing dismal.

No. It's the most popular meta, there is no reason to exclude it. IRL may be designed for looks but it's also good for building in a more realistic manner than DSL-S allows, and if you want to make cool bots instead of competitive bots you shouldn't be trying to obtain the Challenge Belt.
irl was literally created for the sake of nice looking robots if you're prioritizing competitiveness over looks you arent building irl also, maybe this will see a renaissance in literally every other metagame which have been quietly dying for over a year i see no reason to outright ban irl challenges if people want to have them, just dont have them count towards the challenge belt
