I thought it'd be a lot easier to do Mecanum drive the way Pwn had his old Root Canal replica, with the wheels all spaced and angled evenly around a chassis. That way you wouldn't need servos.

No, but it touches the ground occasionally, and I was thinking of adding a caster to remedy that.
