Rules:
DSL2, IRL realism, custom parts are not allowed. Double elimination. If a weight class gets less than 8 entrants, that tournament will be round robin. Weight classes: Antweight (0-125 kg) Beetleweight (125.1-175 kg) Mantis (175.1-200 kg) Hobbyweight (200.1-248.9 kg) Featherweight (249-300 kg) Sportsman (249-300 kg plus building restrictions) Arena will be the small arena (with a possible reskin), with hazards off. Sportsman building restrictions: -Wedges must be less than 25% of the length of the body -Spinning weapons cannot use a motor more powerful than a Slimbody motor, unless the weapon is a sawblade. -Robots must have an active weapon General tourney rules: -Each robot gets one havok restart for the entire tournament. If your robot havoks again it is DQed from the competition. -BFE can only be used for chassis height. AAM and Hax Mode are not allowed. -Ingame glitches can be used if you need to, aside from the aforementioned Hax Mode. -Walkerbots get a 50% weight bonus. Shufflebots get a 10% weight bonus. -One Judge Burst motor is allowed per robot, all other cheatbot2 parts are banned. -Any usage of flail weaponry is banned. -Robots can have an unlimited amount of updates. -Fairyweight battles will be 2 minutes long, all other battles will go for 3 minutes. -Clusterbots are allowed, but they must add up to a combined weight under the weight limit for that class. Both robots must be knocked out for the cluster to be eliminated. I will need judges for this, but that can be arranged later. Battles will be judged on Aggression, Damage and Strategy (5 points per category per judge). So yeah. Discuss. This probably won't happen until the fall, but I got the idea now and wanted to get it down. 5618
