Dude Lucas was the Ness clone, not the other way around. Ness was unlockable probably because he joined the party later in story mode. Also Ice Climbers is much more probable than Baby Mario/Luigi. Just think about it. By Ventiful Joe you mean Viewtiful Joe, and he is freaking badass. Also the Villager meme is brilliant. Even better than the Tympole Villain meme.

Who the is "Ventiful Joe" also you're missing Olimar, but they're probably gonna replace him for whoever the new protagonist is. And most of the 3rd party list is fanboy dreaming. Why wouldn't they bring back Ice Climbers or Ness? Ness is a staple of the series, even though he hasn't been in a non-Smash Bros. game for 20 years now.

Yes, but Yoshimitsu has been in both of Namco's fighting game franchises (Tekken and Soul Calibur) and since Nintendo got Link in for SCII I'm thinking it's gonna be someone from that franchise. IMO Phoenix Wright would probably be an assist trophy, screaming out OBJECTION! to damage people and stuff.
