I turned on my PC this morning and the display wouldn't show up TV. Just before I went out to buy a new lead it did, but just before the logon screen I got BSOD.

Does anyone have a clue how to fix this? It starts fine in Safe Run mode, but restoring it to an earlier system restore point doesn't work. If it come to it, would it be possible to wipe the HDD and re-install windows?

Those are a fan controller, if you don't have room on the motherboard for more 3-pin fans, you can plug them into the 3-pin ports and plug the 4 pin part into your power supply and the other 3-pin plug into the PCI mini-card. Secure the mini card with a screw, and turn the knob to adjust the fan speed.
Thanks. Guess that means I don't need it, I have a nice little program that lets me control the overclocking and fans, which is useful. So, anybody know why it's running so slowly?

It depends what you mean by portable. I wouldn't be comfortable under your arms all day but inside a shoulder-strapped laptop bag its brilliant.
And I'm 99% sure its either a 555GT or a GT555. Whichever way round.

My new 'gaming' computer runs BF3 at approx. 5 FPS and I can't find out how to change tabs in the system settings. So this 1k desktop is only marginally more powerful than my dad's Laptop (Judging by how well Minecraft runs), which is 1 year older and half the price.
In short; it's big, expensive and bloody useless. >=(
lol, what specs you got there? I can run Skyrim on high smoothly with my £500 PC.
Geforce GTX 570 graphics card Intel Core i5-2500k CPU (overclocked), running at 3.3GHz 8gb DDR3 RAM That's what I don't understand. Everything should be fine, the specs are perfectly good enough. Oh, and anyone know what this is?

Good news:
Got a nice gaming PC! :D
Bad news:
We have to build half of it, and none of the parts are labeled, and there the no instructions. FML.
Turns out that it was already built, and they gave us some random parts and bolts for free. -_- Works well now, but still can't play minecraft on far render distance. Disappointed. Trying BF3 now.
