>Black Sun
>best ship

We are no longer friends.

...I'm kidding. I'm not that petty :P Black Sun the robot actually does need some work though, weapon looks a little messy and it has way too many batteries. You also seem to have built a few samey-looking wedge flippers. Still pretty good stuff for a newcomer, though! I like the spiky bits on Crocea Mors, and the originality of Ruby Rose (don't see too many IRL VS with that kind of weapon shape). Looking forward to more!

Oh, and a final suggestion: if you're dumping loads of bots at once like that, it's best to put each bot's pics in a separate spoiler tag just to the page loads faster. I did the same thing when I first joined :P

Wow. I'm working on a robot combat game prototype too, but this just blows mine out of the water in terms of graphics. I wish you luck!

Everyone else is doing it so...

Venom III:  I wonder what's the dif between II and III.  Anyway, I always look forward F1's stuff.
Sub-Zero:  So this is the current stage of Vertigo eh?  I wouldn't bet anything on or against it.  A good 3rd place robot.
Virtue:  Mecha 7
Valkyrie II:  Tbh, I thought that robot was backwards in the showcase.  Anyway, it'll be all about the smartzone.
V and V:  Mecha 10... er... do we count that?
LW: I can't remember the full difference either tbh, I just know the chassis is flatter and it has eternalflame.py this time. And thank you! ^_^
MW: Yep, MW Vertigo (or MW Absolute Zero, to be precise). Excited to see it in action.
CW: I built a better version but it was too late for this tourney; ah well. Hope it doesn't spend the whole tourney derping around.
HW: Hooray for unconventional shapes! Will probably get OoTA'd by the first decent flipper it comes across though.
SHW: My first proper clusterbot, excited to see it in action. They're probably outgunned but we'll see.

Downgraded the flipper extenders to Ti and also redesigned it a little:

It can kinda flip things now? But I also have 56kg left to play with and no idea what to spend it on :P It definitely came out looking better than my crappy attempt at an extenderbot, though:

So the former's getting submitted to GTM Live and the latter probably isn't.

Been messing around with a few ideas for GTM Live. Putting them in spoiler tags because there's a few of them.

Just for clarity's sake:

  • Are we allowed to use cheatbot2 components?
  • Since there's no limit on how much or how often we can change our robots, could I theoretically send you a completely different robot before each fight?

Not sure about Pack-a-Punch but I'm really digging those other bots! You look like a very promising IRL builder!

Interesting component choices, but I'd say you did a pretty good job. Wedges can certainly work but I wouldn't say there's a major advantage to be had. If you're up for it, you could get a lot of free weight by building it all off one SnapperII since HS are kept stable and protected by their spinners so they can afford to have tiny chassis. I will mention that 9 maces is a bit underweaponed for a MW.
I did wonder if it was underweaponed. Still not as underweaponed as Disorientation, at least. I'll definitely have to learn that trick where you mount everything on a burst motor.

WIP MW HS. Currently weighs 395.3kg. It's a little hard to steer and it can't self-right but it hits pretty hard, and the plows should provide good frontal protection.

The razor tips behind the snowplows are probably useless but other than that, any major screw-ups here? Should I switch the plows for wedges?
