Well, don't know about you guys. I'm off to university next month to start a new chapter in life after receiving the grades from my A levels, I needed to go to university. The course I'm doing may be something out of the blue for me being Computer games design, but it'll be worth a good shot at the course that I'm doing.
Hey, that's what I did at uni as well! Was bloody stressful, I tell you what. I finished last year, at around the same time I first found Robot Arena 2. Now the only way school affects me is that when I have to get the bus to work, it's full of annoying teenagers.

Agreed, not bad for a beginner. Almost reminds me of my own early DSL builds, what with all the random armour panels bolted on to them. Some tips: - As Guldenflame already noted, DSC's colour packs will greatly improve the appearance of your robots.
- Always build to the full 800kg weight limit. I don't know how much the drum robot weighs, but Ultra IRL has over 140kg left to play with. (For a specific suggestion, you're gonna need a much more powerful burst motor because there's no way that's gonna lift a HW.)
- You mentioned in the Discord that you've been playing Stock for years; I don't know whether you're aware of DSA, but just as a heads-up, that trick doesn't work in DSL. I made the same mistake before I joined.
Other than that, practice makes perfect! Just keep building bots and you'll gradually work out what looks good and what works well.

Hey, that's pretty neat. I love the light bar on top of the spinner, that's a nice touch. I'd say that's your best-looking robot yet!

Good news!
We are thrilled to announce that we have put together the core team for "Robot Rumble 2.0". tashic, tomgsx, and I will be working together on the project, and have set a launch date target of mid-2019. Starcore has graciously offered his guidance in the development of AI, and we are hoping to make this a big part of the game at launch.
Thank you for all of your kind words of support, and we hope to make this game something that we can all be proud of and enjoy for years to come.
-The Robot Rumble 2.0 Core Development Team
Nice! I look forward to following the game's development!

The first three matches of the video are me knocking out an extenderbot in 16 seconds, our lord and saviour Assbees, and Razor Guy doing what Razor Guy does best.
Top that, entire rest of the tournament.

Vertigo was my first DSL 2.2 robot, and I've refined the design so much since then. I'm immensely proud of the current version. Similarly, I'm very proud of Jungle Fever after the reception it got during LvD, despite being a Tombklone. And we can't forget this classic! Outdated now but still one of my most well-liked robots for some reason.

Well, that fight went perfectly, but now I have to fight an extenderbot HS and that's literally the worst possible matchup for Venom

Yeah, that is one good-looking FBS, and it should hit pretty hard if given enough time to spin up. Great job!

...welp [slam-dunks Dentophobia into the nearest trash can]
Minor nitpick: I'm not sure you'll need that much battery. You should be able to get away with only having WP836Es, and then you'll have enough weight for four Large Typhoon Teeth (one on each yellow segment) and a Megabyte self-righting pole thing on top. Externally, however, it looks bloody awesome.

Finally catching up with what I missed while I was on holiday... Hell yeah, won both my eliminator matches! Love how Sub-Zero's eliminator was two minutes of nothing and then Sub-Zero went "**** this" and just tore Scratch Locker apart. Virtue's win was more impressive, gives me hope for the SHW bracket.
I'm kinda bummed about Sequoia losing because it was a cool-looking robot, but at the same time, Mass Collider is horrifying and I do not want to face it. Kinda sad also that Vulcan Class C lost to Spammy McWeaponspam.
Also I hate to drag this up again but if I were Ava I'd be pretty pissed about Anti-Gravity's loss as well, that was so unlucky, but that's just how things go sometimes.

Wow, and I thought I was building game-breaking sh** in RA3. This entire thread is on another level of wtf-ery entirely. (I also thought I was the only one on GTM still playing this occasionally, but whatever)

I'm going on holiday tomorrow and I don't think I have time to knock anything out before I leave so I guess I'm gonna have to give this tourney a miss Definitely looking forward to it though!

ngl when the Shrek fight started I half-expected to hear "some-BODY ONCE TOLD ME". I guess that says a lot about what I expect from this site.
Good stuff so far, I believe Sub-Zero is up next in the MW Eliminators... dunno whether I'll be able to watch while I'm on holiday, we'll have to see...

Well there you go, then. As long as Alcubierre doesn't tip over and propel itself backwards out of the arena, I'm set.

Wondering if it would look better with a white or grey disc...?
Might work better with a silver disc, the red one is really, really bad.
Say no more fam Yeah, that looks much better Ready to kick ass in LvD: Rebirth, perhaps.

The colour scheme is supposed to look jarring, to go with the robot's theme of disharmony, but glad you guys like the extender frames at least :D I seem to be good at those but terrible at actual extenderbots...

Progress. Discord III is my first bot built with DSC Pack 3. 794.9kg, 4 Slimbody Motors, 10mm Plastic with a titanium extender frame. It's better than Discord 2 in pretty much every conceivable way. Extender work's a little messy in places but I love the contrasting colour scheme. Wondering if it would look better with a white or grey disc...?
