To "guess" the others based on the data in the .bot file would be much harder and more time consuming to implement than the rest of the program multiple times over, I would suspect. Maybe you could get away with plugging the component ID of every weapon component on the bot into the weapons tab, but it would be kinda bad and a nightmare to check To all the people that can't run it, the issue is probably that you don't have whatever necessary Microsoft redistributables required. If I'm right in that, apanx can point you to which one(s) you need to install 463

Dumping a tournament that already has entries is very poor form. Its alright dude. I think just starting over is less complicated. Its just AI being weird and stuff. Again I might try again someday but it will be more planned outI think im going to have to give up on this. 465

That's your player teams file. It doesn't have any effect on the AI teams. The AI teams file is in Robot Arena 2/AI/teams.txt.

AI teams can hold up to 6 bots, but by default they're only programmed to hold 3. There's nothing magic that you need to do to go from 3 to 6, the devs just decided to stop at 3 per team for some reason (assuming you're talking about the stock AI). If you want to know how to add bots to the AI teams, you should look up the tutorials section for tutorials about 'how to AI'.
To be more specific, the line underlined below tells RA2 which bots to look for in a team folder. In the example below, it's telling ra2 to look for Bot0.bot through to Bot5.bot. In stock, the line would be 0 1 2 instead, telling ra2 to look for Bot0.bot to Bot2.bot, thus only having 3 bots in a team. ![]() 467

The downloads section is a good place to find stuff like this. Firebeetle's component pack is also worth trying.

General Support / Re: How to make extenderbots?« on: August 06, 2018, 05:58:37 PM »
Use the pixel chassis in FOTEPX's DSL CE, along with ra2cf. Build your bot's drive, then weapon motors, then batteries, then build bodywork over that. This order of building is the easiest way to make decent extender it's
Also bottom panels are a complete waste of weight unless you're building a pure artbot. IRL bots are already weak as hell in combat, you need every kg you can get put into drive/weapon motors so your bot doesn't get slowly tapped apart over 3 excruciating minutes of nothing. Of course, if you're not going to enter your bot in tournaments or you want to build artbots this doesn't apply. 471
DSL TC Showcases / Re: Primeval's DSL showcase« on: August 05, 2018, 01:04:34 PM »
That's possibly the most meta IRL axebot I've ever seen, typhoon teeth as the weaponry (somehow) and only a pair of TWMs for drive. Protip for your axebots, they would look a lot better if you BFE the burst arc to be 180 degrees so the shaft lays flat on top of the bot.
The highlight here for me is Shalako, a very neat little flipper. Bonus points for being a sub-LW that isn't a spinner of some kind. Again though, the drive seems worryingly weak for a flipper. I suppose there's not much you can do about that for a BW. 472

Stock Showcases / Re: Team "Corruption"« on: August 04, 2018, 12:37:27 PM »
If you're uploading bot files, you should upload them to the bot exchange rather than posting the files straight to a showcase. Showcases are usually for images of the bots rather than the bot files themselves. You do you though.

Discussion / Re: Ra2 Stock Full body spinner« on: August 04, 2018, 12:22:00 PM »
They're using a type of motion called Meltybrain, where you can use circular movements to move in a linear direction. As far as I know, there's no way to do this manually in RA2, you need to use an AI file like FBS.py. It has nothing to do with glitches or how a bot is made, it's all in the AI.
As for how to make them, you just build a regular SnS (go look up some old DSL-S showcases or download storm shock if you don't know how to build one. To AI them, you just AI the drive like any other bot (Forward, LeftRight drive controls) and let the AI file work everything else out for you. 475

> don't spend 10 seconds BFEing a disc so you don't need a weird out of place perspex panel Aside from that it's pretty interesting and cool for a ring spinner. Still a ring spinner though. 476

DSL TC Showcases / Re: FlamesOfIce's DSL IRL Showcase« on: July 18, 2018, 03:03:18 PM »Should I enter it into a tournament?Sure, nobody's stopping you. It's a good way to learn the weaknesses of your designs combat-wise As for the bot, I'm really not a fan of the open back at all, I think that needs to be covered up. And if you're making extenderbots, you should use the pixel chassis that comes with DSL 2.2 CE (or you can find it on the bot exchange). And the exposed front drive motors aren't really IRL I think. It's a cool gimmick for a bot, having it just be really long, but I feel like in this case it was a flaw of your building rather than something you set out to do. Maybe I'm wrong on that, but either way I don't think you really pulled it off with all the panel gaps and stuff. Oh, and CROP YOUR SCREENSHOTS 479

Badger with the "as many weapons as I can get away with" plan. This is why I can't take IRL tournaments seriously.Actually it was an aesthetic choice because 3 gothic axes arranged in that way kinda looks like a claw.
