I will never decline a robot due to this without notifying you of the problem to ensure it will be fair; however if anyone complains that a bot shouldn't have gotten past it, they are at risk for a disqualification. What do you mean by this? Are the people that complain at risk, or are the robots that are complained about at risk? I'd like some clarification before I go build. Also, what exactly constitutes a stability test? 4163

I'm now intrigued as to how deep this is going to be. Is this going to be used for backgrounds/test labs only, or are we going to have to drill our own chassis pieces?

Tournament Archives / Re: Natural Selection - Stock MW Tournament« on: February 27, 2014, 09:40:52 AM »So, um, it appears that approving tourneys uses a new method. Can anyone shed some light? Pretty much once you're set with rules etc you run a poll asking "Will you enter?". When the poll has half as many "yes" votes as your maximum amount of signups, your tourney is good to go for signups. 4170

Certainly an interesting development. So clusterbots can be a thing now, just with some cool side effects.
Thanks for expanding on this, you deserve tech advisor or something 4171

My thing sucks, but since i learned the wheel speed thing I think I can make it more maneuverable at least.
Need to finish an essay now, I'll post a pic tomorrow. 4173

My ant, FireArrow, runs most of the same stuff Ribbs' bot has/will have. It runs a 1/16 inch 7075 aluminum shell with a 1/16 inch steel front wedge. However, it uses Silver Sparks instead of Ribbs' Gold Sparks. The only difference is the metal gears in the silver ones as opposed to plastic gears in the gold sparks.
My beetle, Nocturne, according to the ebay seller, runs "1/8 titanium wall armor, bottom plate is formed .060 thick titanium, top weapon assembly and walls are 1/4" magnesium, top cover is ti and carbon fiber." Nocturne uses Kitbots 1000 RPM motors for drive, and this motor for weapon power. FireArrow's still being rebuilt and I don't have all the bits for Nocturne yet so I can't post internals of either robot, sorry. 4176

Swap the irons with razors, razors do better as popup weapons
With the extra weight you should be able to upgrade the wedges to green snappers. 4177
