Been messing around in RR2 trying to learn the ropes of the botlab and everything, and have been having some fun trying to recreate my RA2 bots.
I did Speed Demon, and a rudimentary version of Sabre first, and put them up against each other in an AI vs AI fight (pretty cool that the AI just automatically knew how to drive them with 0 messing around too )
Then this fight got me wondering if there was any way to make some kind of flipper with what's currently in the game (no pneumatics etc), so I got talking to Hoppin, and dabbling around with spin motors, and I managed to get something to work. It's super weak (kinda series 3 Firestorm levels of power) but it's enough to overturn other bots, and it should work for self righting too (though in this clip Earthquake sitting on top of me prevented that). It won't work with AI, but for player driven bots having a way to make even a super weak flipper is pretty neat I thought.
Cracking stuff my guy Hiya, after playing for what had been a great night, I've got some feedback. Is there a way to wire srimechs, this would be greatly appreciated haha! I've just been dragging around a floppy piece of metal for when I fight lmao, on top of this, the ability to choose our button inputs would be a great feature. A small ui tweak I'd recommend is moving the "eliminated" and "win" text to the top of the screen, it gets in the way of match and seeing the action. I'd also suggest adding a way to rotate robots forward direction, unless this is already in, then how? . An option to adjust the volume of the announcer guy, he's proper loud for my liking. When zooming in to focus on building, it gets blurry Been noticing some ai issues, general ai stopping, not srimeching, etc. Specifically for me; Earthquake, TR2, Ballerina & Manta. Been really enjoying it as my recent posts tell, thanks guys Lots of Love, Hoppin

Hi guys, quite enjoying myself so far, I must say.
Couple of questions about future plans.
- Belted motors, are they happening? -Circular custom weapons? -Wiring UI and process being more streamlined? (Which tbh Idk why I'm asking this, you already answered this). -How soon can we expect creations vs AI fights?
Overall tho, cracking stuff, I've been messing around in the multilayered chassis creation section for hours alone!
Cheers, I'll be posting some creations in the other thread once I get stuff ready <3

Thank you all for voicing you opinions on the matter. I've dropped a message to Doot, hopefully I can get the assets used, should speed things up. If yall want i can do SHW's ofc that would mean effort, but hey, ill have time
Reeeee i do that xD I just dont know why hoppin likes my comment but doesnt say anything to it (the first comment)
I went to bed. Fatty Also, for the old unfinished RGS2 divisions from LW-HW, just wondering because a bit of crazy idea, but can I still record the original LW-HW and rather than pass it off as official RGS2 since it will be rebooted, just brand those as a fun what could have been fights and maybe show the fights only too with song, rather than include the normal between fight matchup pic
Potentially, that sounds like a pretty ok idea if you're up for it. I don't want to overbear you with fights to record, etc

Also Hop, aren't you supposed to be hosting Apex Elite and GTM Open already? I'm not sure putting a 3rd tournament (which could possibly be very large scale) on your plate is the best idea, unless you wrap up one of the previously 2 before signups.
Fully aware, this should slot in at the end of Apex, assuming it pans out correctly

Hi all. Recently, thanks to Billy, we've been in discussion about the future of Robogames 2.
With Billy uploading the Antweight & Beetleweight Division and Bild looking to continue the SHW division, we've decided it best have Billy continue those divisions. However, with the other weightclass we're looking into restarting them from the signups stage. We're thinking about doing this for various reasons, the two main reasons, being it's such a mess at this point that restarting the event would be cleaner than picking up the pieces of it. On top of this the time between now & then I think people much prefer there current bots.
In regards to members who are no longer active that had entered RG2, we'll be keeping those bots in out of respect for them.
A few members in this discussion have offered to host divisions, these being. TheOrcCorp - HW Bildschirm - CW Myself - MW Billy - LW
However, if anyone wants to assist or possibly a backup host just in case. Feel free to ask. Whilst this is not set in stone, this is where we're looking to go.
In summary, Billy will continue to host the Antweight & Beetleweight Division, then the reboot of other weightclasses will happen during the summer-ish. Any questions or thoughts on the matter? I'd love to hear.

May I please borrow an RA2 v1.4 game from one of you? Just upload it to Google Drive, and send me the shareable link. My .rar opener isn't working.
You can use the download page on GTM, considering thats where all of the current copies came from

Kill probably left because he had other things he needed to do.
If GTM is going to be great again, we need to make a new RA game. That will make GTM famous.
i hope this is a late april fools joke
There's no joke in this post. Robot Arena is dying. We need to continue the saga.
Big brain "17yo" thoughts

If ra2 was working fine why can nobody open DSL2.1 to make a bot for Boomer Brawl? Checkmate zoomers.
Cant or doesnt want to?

Guys, You may have an RA2 game that you downloaded long ago, but any RA2 game you download now will (1) fail to extract properly and (2) glitch constantly.
Be lucky if you still have a working game because any person that starts playing RA2 nowadays will witness what I just described.
As I said before, RA2 is dead, and will no longer work unless you have a really, really old RA2 game in your file.
I downloaded mine literally 6 months ago.
6 months ago, all RA2 games worked.
Now, it's changed. TCRR just got lucky.
I've had 4 copies running well for about 10 months? Nice try alt-tactular.

If we want to make GTM great again, help me make RA4, because it looks like DSL more than like a new game. This will make Robot Arena live longer.
Spoken like a true alt account Subscribe to pewdiepie btw
