Turned some CAD designs into functional Roblox bots with some help from Sev.

Here's something I'm looking at doing. Based heavily on Barghest, but this is gonna be a shuffler

Still need to figure out the game mechanics for brushless motors!

I’m thinking:

1. They need more gear reduction.
2. They have very poor starting torque.  I just got some numbers on this versus AmpFlow, so we should be set on this.
3. They tend to break more easily (lower health).
Fact: Magnetar from RW used brushless motors for drive and weapon

Yea, I'll enter

I feel like the simplest solution would just be to make a "dual" variant of each motor, like the 2-mag, 4-mag etc. from DSL. That way, it's still technically one motor, so it doesn't require any changes to the existing game mechanics, but it has the same stats as two motors joined together.

Personally I think that would be an ok sort term fix. I would like to see the ability to join two motors that both run separate weapon belts to the same weapon.

I assume this is for Battlebots Reborn, if so. Then the below method should be fine

You can use Bot file editing to move the disc downwards/upwards after attaching it to the motor. Here's a link to a guide on how to do it: https://gametechmods.com/forums/tutorials-and-tips/bfe-a-beginner's-guide/

you'd be right  Today I was working on Mecha Rampage, but he's not the only one that would benefit form it

Neato bfe should be fine, its what I've been using when I made Icewave. If you want any bots looked at and improved, feel free to drop a message to me on here or discord, I'll happily help you out with some

Compatibility is overrated, it would be nice to force people to build sh** instead of entering ancient sh**-tier bots. Also would force people to download the correct version of the game.

smh Paladin homie, never forget

Literally what I am reading? Am I in hell

I just think its a good idea to focus on producing the Component Modding Tool. It seems to produce a long term fix rather than a short that is gonna be changed later

When will we get brushless motors? They would be more compact then brushed. However they would overheat. Now because overheating not a thing. Maybe atm, they would weigh more

You actually took my idea. Cuck

Yo, tiny updates given I have 0 things to do atm.

Making progress on the new ant, revision 1 of the chassis complete for a geometry test. Just waiting for some other parts to arrive (servos, wheels and some other pieces). Stole some design choices from Yeatus & Retreatus like the rolled back being the main point. With ABS it's about 40g, but that's with 100% infill from the looks of it. Once I've done this part, I'll be looking to make the flipper panel. Had some ideas for fitting it, but we'll see how it pans out.

Parts have been showing up.
Receivers
Switches
9 Batteries

Still waiting for ESCs, Wheels and Servos

Back at it again with the white vans. AWS60!

We did it lads, we got Veorra this time. On top of this, the boys are back and ready to dunk on people. Once again, I drove Retreatus, this time sporting the SadFox emote on the front.

Key points of the event (Spoilers)

SHOUTOUT TO ALL YOU REAL GS WHO BIGGED US UP ON TWITCH :gunz:

Whats planned?

I'll be making some adjustments to Veorra. Mainly some extra wheels and the top gear motor changed out to a 20:1. On top of just some more driving practice!

Along with this, I'm working on an Ant for 2020. Front hinge! So look out for that.
