Knocked this thing together in 10 minutes to try to give the new guy an example of a MW flipper. Titanium 1. Anything I can improve? I haven't played 2.1 in years so I might've missed something obvious 12 ants btw

You should always build to the weight limit. In this case, middleweights are 400.
In general you should only use ant batteries. 2.5 for each of those BSG burst motors, 1 for each spin motor. So that's 7 ant batteries for your bot, you can delete the long batteries.
Those polycarbonate extenders are VERY weak, it would be wise to replace them with steel extenders or a chain of flippermakers, since they will be exposed so often.
For standard NPC motors (your drive motors, not the left or right variants) the most used wheels are techno destructo wheels, you should use them instead.
If you're going for an IRL style (a bot to look like a real-life bot rather than one built for effectiveness), some wheelguards would look nice as well, which would eat up some remaining weight =]

I'm just hoping if this is indeed real, no more havoc explosions.
Hopefully they use a new Physics Engine
They're working on a Source 2 port, obviously

I think your building style would work a lot better in DSL or Ironforge, but who am I to say what mod you should play.
As for the bot, the tiny wheels on axles arent doing much and can be removed, and the rear wheels can be changed to shinies (try to get them on ztecs or HP ztecs). Angle and square connectors waste weight, so in general you should never use them, and use round extenders instead. Make sure you use the red ones.
One large battery is more efficient than lots of smaller batteries. I think 2 blacks will be more than enough for your bot, 1 if you remove the hammer which isnt doing much (as bots should be hit away by the discs first).
All that, combined with shrinking the chassis should give you weight for more razor/iron spam on the discs to make them even more damaging. You might also want to consider swapping the hammer for a wedge, by moving the DDT. Good luck!
Edit: also build to the weight limit, and use iron spikes or razor tips on the discs. Irons, razors and maces are the only weapon types ever used (with a few rare exceptions).

Have you gone through all the basic troubleshooting steps? Restarting, dling new drivers for your network card, running RA2 in compatibility mode etc?
If so, then maybe overheating is an issue, and your network card isn't handling the heat too well. Alternatively, what my laptop (and sometimes desktop) sometimes do is randomly change the IP of the default DNS server to connect to, rather than let it auto-configure. I solve this by going to the Network and Sharing center > adapter settings > right click on wifi adapter and properties > Internet Protolcol v4 > properties > obtain DNS server address automatically
If none of that helps, what exactly happens? Does the network disconnect or just stop working? Is the adapter still enabled (Network and Sharing center > adapter settings)? Is it just websites that don't load, or do things like spotify stop working too?

Honestly IRL bots aren't really done in stock, it's mainly just unrealistic bots which utilize glitches in the game to make things such as https://gametechmods.com/uploads/images/36536screenshot_4.png]this[/url] (stolen from Sage's showcase). IRL building is best done in DSL or Ironforge.
If you do want to continue with it though, you don't need that many batteries, I'd say 1 nifty(the red battery) would do. And yeah, DSA is double the strength of aluminium and the same weight, you always want to use it.
If you want to try unrealistic building, this is a really good guide: http://beetlebros.gametechmods.com/ra2techs.htm#basic
Also, props on making an original skin for it. Not many people do that.

> expecting Nary to behave himself
Seriously tho Blur, stop getting so salty every time someone makes a joke at your expense. You have a bad rep. If you become a productive member of the site it will go away. If not, people are gonna talk sh** even if you've not instigated anything yourself.
Side note, how are the rules on swearing now, is it still Chatterbox-only?

Pretty sure it's a hoax. While it may not look like a simple troll, it certainly doesn't look like something an actual game dev company would do. Sad but I think it's true

They are fasts and it handles itself very well. Do you think you would call it built in an IRL style.
I'm not too sure. I think if you removed the poly skirts at the front it would be pretty IRL but I'm not an expert on these things. I just think it looks pretty rad

I think that it looks pretty cool, even if your picture cropping is pretty poor. I like how you've managed to make a axe/popup hybrid. Are those NPC fasts? If not, is the bot quick enough?

wow, and I thought DG's bot was bad -_-. Seriously, Wen? A single spiked rammer with a hammer that doesn't seem to work? I mean, frankly, that combo seems to kinda counteract each other, but, at least make the hammer work! Now I've bitched about it. Loved the skins of both of the bots (although Wen's will give me nightmares for the rest of time), and the editing style was fantastic.
The hammer did work. Well, it swung whenever a bot got in range. Unfortunately the hammer's range was basically the same as the spike's, and combined with the fact that it didnt swing far enough and so could only hit tall-ish robots, it rarely got a chance to swing, let alone hit at anything.

Btw does anyone have any power metal reccomendations? All I have atm is a few dragonforce songs and a couple non-dragonforce ones. Not too fond of heavy metal.

> USA flag represents English language
wtf challonge
largest english speaking population by far, that is why.
But, if we're gonna get nitpicky here, the original, as you call, "Americans" were actually from good old Britain so, really, we represent the English language because -we invented English -America would not really exist without us, at least, not the way you all know it.
"we"
thats not me
