it's a personal tournament with his own bots, let him post what he wants. he has no obligation to provide an entertaining tournament to its non-existant entrants

this is one of the rare times where he did nothing wrong. you guys need to stop going RED MAN BAD over every single thing he posts.

gtm can't stand the sight of women, who would've thought

also yes the in-game skinning system is bad. saving the skin as a 512x512 or 1024x1024 makes a big difference

behold the world's first clamp, snare, and flipper hybrid

Okay, this bot has to be a BOTM entry.

I'll find something else to invent...
Or you could just play the game

Where's the fun in playing the game when you can't discover something new?
because you're just re-naming an already existing bot type

but do whatever makes you feel good on the inside (aka drugs)

The main reason why entries aren't exploding is because a lot of the people who are big in DSL-S aren't active a lot anymore. Maybe try to contact them outside of GTM.
if they aren't active on gtm then they probably have 0 interest in entering a tournament

if you're expecting serious ra2 talk then you probably should look elsewhere. nobody actually uses this server anymore

however if you want dumb boomer rants, traps, and alcoholic rambling then you've found the right server

imagine unironically spending your welfare bux on pixels in ra2

tax payers on suicide watch rn

also you're setting a bad precedent by offering money for ra2 related sh**. content creators might as well just not release their sh** until they hit enough '''donations'''if they know people are willing to pay bux for them (not saying they can't do that btw)

is that last bot an invincirammer???

Also I really like the wandering spinner. The paintjob is a really nice touch

Good thing this tourney is being continued

But personally want to see the whole tourney finished, including SHW. Like is it possible to ask for Doot's permission about SHW AI?

Also, thinking pretty far, but i'll also personally like to see RG3 as a community effort like GTMCS once this is finished, with each division is hosted by different host than just one
doot lost the original bindings and is pretty much inactive, so that's probably a no. also shw probably would've crashed 5 seconds into every match.

ok gamers good news, staff has the bots (or bad news considering staff's hosting record  heck)

I'm willing to run one of the brackets PWS style with havoks and crashes being ruled as immediate judges decisions for times sake. Hoppin also said he'd be willing to chip in after he's done with RA2 Open.

more than likely the entire tournament will not be completed, (we don't have the shw bindings, so the division is a 100% a no go) but we might be able to complete a few brackets that people are the most interested in.

tldr post what brackets you would like to see finished. shw is a no no

I downloaded DSL 2.1/DSL S, and made this thing without component freedom
[ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ]
Can you show the internals. Because just FYI, in 2.1, one spin motor can be powered by one ant battery only. So assuming that you have three spin motors from what I see, you only need 3 ant batts
batteries do not keep motors at full power constantly in dsl 2.1. motor speed/strength drops as the batteries lose power

iirc it's 40 seconds of full power for a single ant battery to spin motor

« on: March 06, 2019, 01:58:07 PM »
unironically would prefer the combat arena with hazards off. it's the true boomer arena that was the standard and tbh is probably the most balanced
Any other thoughts on this? I wanted an arena with OOTA potential so that flippers would be viable. How about one of the BBEANS arenas?
bbeans is way too small for 2.1 imo

also id say low walls hurt the meta more than they help. flippers really aren't that great in 2.1 compared to 2.2 and low walls are just going to give even more of an advantage to things like popups. at the same time it's also going to put things like shells and wedgeless vs at bigger disadvantage.
