I think, because their stuff turns into pop when they start singing, they picked the songs that have the least singing in for more metal. However, that still has an adverse effect because they're doing their dances and stuff when they aren't singing but us metalheads don't really take interest in that.
What I had the most qualms with was the surprising lack of emphasis on anything. The singing was lacklustre, the instrumental backings were terribly generic/lacklustre and the dancing was bland, even for a metal-centric festival.
Is this a complaint with their performance or them as a band? I'm not a fan of the 2 kids but I think their lead singer has a great voice.

I saw Babymetal live at Download this weekend and they were rubbish :P
How so, poor vocals/instrumentals, poor showmanship or what? Surprises me since they're so focused on their live performances.

On the one hand, weeb trash On the other, best band I've ever bloody heard
Why is Babymetal's music so good but their branding so cancerous.
Also, this:
Which is also a great song, and about as far from Babymetal as you can get. All the songs from "Anyone Out There" is great, with a couple exceptions. Even weirder, just listened to this song on spotify, the auto-volume has REALLY janky with this song. How odd.

So Tharackerzod and I have been chatting on Skype yesterday, and I decided to challenge him... again. I let him decide the rules for the weightclass, mod, and all that. After some discussion on the topic, this is what we came down to:
- Stock HW - 1-on-1 - DSL Tournament Arena - 3 Minute Matches - Best of 3 - The use of the following Sergepatcher Mods are allowed:
- Unlimited Chains
- Attachment Hermaphroditism
- Component Intersection
So is anyone brave enough willing to host this battle?
Anyone? I'm sorry for asking more than once, but we would like one.
Sure

I think the "attach anything to anything else" mod is cool. The hax mode part is not.

Beaters are pretty bad weapons for axes.
In 2.1 batteries work differently, you should only use ants, and use 1 per spin motor. Also, if the weapon rack on the rammer is scraping along the ground when the bot is upside-down, the weapons touching the ground will do no damage and your front wheels will be doing nothing.

I lost all the files I used to make this, and I've only just in the past couple days got my desktop back, as apologies for the delay. Here's the final match:

That actually doesn't look too bad. Raise the drive motors up and put shinies on them, try to get a single black in there and you might be able to turn it into a popup.

GGWP silverfish, I knew that my DSL entry was weak, shouldn't have rushed it. Thanks again to RedAce for hosting!

puush replacement for linux: http://shutter-project.org/
Yeah I got that running after googling puush Linux alternatives. I actually preferred it for screenshots, it's a great little program, but it lacks the features, simplicity and immediacy of puush. I liked it enough to try and re-install it when I got back on Windows, but it's Linux only =/

Nah intel are cool, their cpus are great and they're pretty pro-consumer compared to other tech companies, they do a lot of community stuff. Shame that AMD can't put anything out to really challenge intel tho
