Well, first up, the name's inconsistent... Fixed now lmao

Bots may not be updated after the first match has been recorded, except AI tweaks or skin changes

This rule's a bit silly - why no skin changes? I imagine it'd be cool to mark off all the bots we've defeated over the fights, sorta like how Steg-O-Saur-Us did in Series 3. Also, the idea of changing the design opens the door for Tornado-esque shenanigans, and I ain't down with that, bubby.

All matches are BO1 except the grand finals, which are BO5

I'd have it BO3 for every fight, and then BO5 for the grand finals.

If spots are not filled, I may reduce the tournament size or fill spots with standard DSL2.2 bots.

I could create some bye's for you?

Everything else is fine.
BO1s cause BO3s are more than 3x the work, and the bracket/group format I'm using is VERY forgiving on fluke losses. BO1 finals are a bit lame, so BO5.

Skin and AI updates ARE allowed, re-read it m8 :P

You can create some byes if you want and I'll use them, but it feels like there's a lot more interest in the tournament than my last, and that filled just fine, so they probs won't be used.

Oh, silly me. Sorry about interpreting that rule wrong.

I get where you're coming from on the BO1 thing - I didn't see the brackets before posting. I trust that everyone'll get a second chance if they lose by fluke.

Well, PM me if byes are needed. If not, I'll savor my energy for the main tournament.

Where can we download the chassis to start working on the bots?
Check my People's Choice thread, you get at least 3 games even if you lose all 3 (2 in group, 1 in playoff), and if you come top 2 in your group you start in the upper bracket. It's pretty forgiving for flukes.

I'll release the chassis after I open signups, gives me time to get feedback on it and change it if needed.

Alright, rules have been fleshed out. Thoughts/feedback, particularly on the chassis and bracket format?

Everything except the grand final uploaded. Will upload the final later today or tomorrow, depending on how I'm feeling.

I admire your optimism R01, but put it this way; if this game in a decently playable state within a year, I'll drink a bottle of ketchup and upload it. If it gets updated after a year from now (with anything meaningful) I'll down two more. And I hate ketchup.

It was doomed from release of early access. There are very basic parts of the game missing/broken, and I expect they'd need to redo a whole lot to make it playable. It's a shame they made a horrific cashgrab, if they spent another year or so on it they could ride on the BB/RW hype wave with an actual decent game.

No probs hosting guys, happy to do again!
Also I'm rather new to stock glitches but I'd love to see how the double motor/wheel setup is done like that, don't see any extenders on the side and they are perfectly lined up.
My bot is on the exchange (the one with the really long name) if you wanna see how I did mine.

EASY for Finnish Professional Electronic-sports organization «ENCE eSports», containing insane player Juho «Juhob» Lampinen, who can handle both the main rifles and the AWP (Arctic Warfare Police sniper rifle), incredible support rifler Mikko «xartE» Välimaa who recently won large Vectorama 2016 tournament with his team, professional rifler Miikka «suNny» Kemppi whose decisions make ENCE's opponents literally cry, irreplaceable Tom «stonde» Glad who uses Razer DeathAdder 2013 mouse @ 400 DPI in combination with 1.75 in-game sensitivity to crush his opponents, and of course absolutely crazy Counter-Strike: Global Offensive AWP (Arctic Warfare Police sniper rifle) player Aleksi «Allu» Jalli, who is only 24 years old currently and who has already reached his top-level form, from the nordic country Finland (officially the Republic of Finland), sovereign state in Europe.

doesnt look bad, im worried about invertibility though

Use blades, you don't need bidirectional damage.

he'll actually need to free up quite a bit of weight for that
Reduce armour, you don't need alu5 with those plows and a wedge, if either fail you're dead anyway, and this bot needs more weapons for a MW anyway.

You could put the burst behind the bot and use the longer ones. For motors I think those are find it you keep it MW but for HW you'll need to improve it somehow. It's an IRL bot so it doesn't really matter tbh.

It's not the worst. I would improve the weapon motor and drive, increase to a HW and cover the rest of it in armour plates to make it look cooler. RO7 break is allow in basically everything so you should be good to use it.

I wonder how long that motor's gonna last, considering it's right infornt of the chassis. Pretty cool build tho.
