Tried messing around with turn and turnspeed(which made it worse), turn didn't seem to help but what's odd is that if my bot starts in the player 1 spawn of the combat arena it drives in a straight line, player2's start point however does that shuffling.
Also what about the moving backwards straight/always face the AI and best place to get the most updated AI files?
Can you send me the bot? I'd like to have a crack at it.

I love all the points in the OP, I sincerely hope they are implemented, though I think Click isn't active these days. Maybe someone with some balancing experience make a DSL Promod?

How people create all these amazing wacky things I will never know.

I've got a few other things to show off that are quite a bit more complex than this - really, it's just a matter of spamming as many Mechavore discs or Frenzy Hammers as you can. I'm suprised somebody hasn't made a Frenzy Hammer SNS yet.
Cause nearly everything bans SnS these days

I mean tiny tiny chassis like this aren't very good for popups or rammers really, but are well suited to SnS and VS and sometimes HS too.

Sounds like your bot is turning too fast and is having to continuously correct itself. Try reducing the turn value in the bindings.

Yeah, it's nice seeing this back. How well would those designs work in DSL 2.2? Think this was a SNS tournament because I can't imagine that this was the DSL main bot type before the update.
Probably not great, the chassis don't have space for the batteries required in 2.2 and flails are very fragile IIRC. And razors and irons suck.


Flail SnS, Popups and Flail rammers dominated 2.1, with the occasional dual perm VS.

It's a gutripping VS so it really lives/dies on the wedges. How are wedges compared to skirt wedges?

Also, the biggest change is batteries. You can't spam ants anymore. This bot would be good with 2 battlepacks.

I think we need a sitewide tournament thing to get people excited, something that will get vets and noobs entering. Yugi's mentioned something similar before but to my knowledge nothing has been done about it. I think yearly is too long too, small official monthy 8-man tournaments with a persistent score table would rekindle some interest I think. Maybe give challenges a bit more purpose too.

When it boils down to it, we just need to incentivise people to actually play RA2.
