Favorite ones are definitely Bogo and Boop and Scoot. Others are ok Nooseance is more of a joke bot, so no real opinions/ advice here Ringout is pretty tall, and good Ring spinnersare short for more weight to other things, also it just look unappealing Retread is pretty much the same to Retread for me
I called it retread because it was the same old sh** on a wore out Idea
Those bots all look great. I like the first one's tail, as well as the use of Slap Happy wheel on it. For Bogo, cool idea, but yeah, 8 small typhoons are weaponspammy as F1 said. Also, just a note, but maybe try to add a hexplate on the undercutter, so it will deal more damage as the whole disc doesn't slow down from large contact with the floor while spinning.
As for that hammer and poker bot, looks definitely better than it's predecessor. As for the ringspinners, I think most builders here do chassisbot ring spinner rather than extenderbot ones. It will allow you to do a good skin on it, as well as make it flatter
Tbh I think he could place a ball caster on the motor, then the disc with component freedom to fix that undercutter issue
The undercutter doesnt touch the ground, it's higher than the bottom of the wedge, but I also added little nubs on the top and bottom (the brown nipples) to keep the blades off the ground if the wedge gets ripped off, or if it gets flipped.
Your robots are good. Why not put them on the Bot Exchange so everyone can play around with them?
I didn't think I should, it seemed like there weren't a lot of pages on BE for how old the forum is and assumed I shouldn't unless asked to. I wouldn't want to spam it. Is there a particular bot or bots you would want me to upload? I'm more than willing to send anyone any of my bots if they'd want one.
Bogo is a great idea, although eight small Typhoons is verging on weapon spam. Try switching to two large Typhoons per disc, it should be just as damaging and durable and will give you slightly more reach.
For Boop & Scoot V2, try switching to only a single hammer head (you only really need one). That ought to save you plenty of weight for more armour.
I'm gonna be "that guy" here: if you learn how to do BFE (bot file editing), you can move components around after they've been placed, which can help with making robots more compact and optimising their extender setups (as you don't need as many attachment points for bolting things onto). BFE works wonders for ring spinners: instead of making the bodywork taller so that the ring is exactly in the middle, you can just make the bodywork as flat as possible and then BFE the ring into the middle. I don't think I've seen a pixel-chassis ring spinner before, though, so kudos for attempting that, even if it didn't quite work.
I started playing with BFE for boop and scoot, wasn't quite getting the hammer where I wanted it without ass eating sh** the floor sending my bot to Uranus. But i'll maybe try a V2 of Retread where i lower the blade with BFE and cut the top of the frame off and make it wider instead. Thank you for the suggestion. Is that kind of modification IRL accepted?
The reason i have 8 small teeth instead of 4 big ones is they hit my wheels, but if i make the disc smaller it doesnt quite look right to me, Ill make the changes and post it to show what im talking about, it just ruins the look/lines of the bot to me personally. I would make the change if a tournament host asked me too though. I think if i do more IRLs, BOGO and Angle Grinder will be my submissions. I like both of them a lot.
Thank you guys a lot for the feedback, I appreciate it.
For BFE, yeah, it's legal like CF as long as you use it to make a bot more like IRL ones. People usually use the replace component, move component, and change chassis height features of it

Thank you all for voicing you opinions on the matter. I've dropped a message to Doot, hopefully I can get the assets used, should speed things up.
If yall want i can do SHW's ofc that would mean effort, but hey, ill have time
Reeeee i do that xD I just dont know why hoppin likes my comment but doesnt say anything to it (the first comment)
I went to bed. Fatty
Also, for the old unfinished RGS2 divisions from LW-HW, just wondering because a bit of crazy idea, but can I still record the original LW-HW and rather than pass it off as official RGS2 since it will be rebooted, just brand those as a fun what could have been fights and maybe show the fights only too with song, rather than include the normal between fight matchup pic
Potentially, that sounds like a pretty ok idea if you're up for it. I don't want to overbear you with fights to record, etc
For the fight to record, I think I can handle it. Plus, I won't put the in between fight cards, only battles and songs, so I think it won't take huge amount of time to record and edit

Honestly, I personally don't like a restart. However, since most people agree on it, then maybe I'm okay with it since it's happening anyway. Though thinking about it, on the other hand, I will be able to enter along with other newbies.

ra2's successor is finally here
Just saying, but i may still play RA2 and host tournaments on there after RR2. Like, RR2 is great, but RA2 also feels like a good classic to me, and Idk if my laptop will lag running RR2 or not
I totally respect that. RA2 is awesome. It has an incredible community with unheard-of longevity.
I wouldn't give up on the laptop though. I'm doing all of my game dev on a laptop, and am targeting a 2013 MacBook Air with 8 GB of RAM as the minimum. Would you mind trying the game on your laptop and letting us know how it goes?
I can play the game on Internet site right? Because I haven't tried it yet as I assume I have to download for it, and I don't want to download updates a lot every time a new version comes out tbh, considering the stage of the game now. If it's Internet though, I may be able to try on late April, because RL stuff

I absolutely LOVE this game! I've been making some bots and youtube vids for it because I feel that there just isn't enough people showing off their creations and making this game more well-known. Anyways, I just made these 4 today. The physics in regards to steering is amazing in this game. You can even do the Minotaur celebration!
Hope you all like the bots! -CodeSilverGaming
Nice replicas. Just saying though, but you can insert your attachments to your post, so it will make it more easier to see the pictures

Yeah OBJ is free. The download's floating around on here somewhere. Besides that you need blender or some other CAD software, but there are a few free options
Blender is free if im not wrong. Also for the objtora2 chassis you need to set the graphics to low or else they wont work. There should be a guide here anyway
The graphics don't have anything to do with the model not working. It's more about the overall topology within your model. Since OBJRA2 requires the model to be split into tris (Having triangular faces within your mesh) to process the model and build a mesh. Knowing that this is a game from 2003, you want to have as few polygons/tris as possible for the game to build the mesh without causing the game to slowdown or even crash.
Not true from my experience. You need to do the trov glitch, or set the graphics to low for an OBJ chassis to show up properly
Just want to elaborate further. Basically if your chassis is very thin, like 1 pixel thick, which can be achieved by OBJ or Trov glitch, it will not show properly in arena if the graphic setting is medium or high as it's too high for the game to process properly

Okay I'm spamming at this point. Last bot and then I won't post anymore until I have at least 5.
Merry Go Pound's shell was a generic shape, so I wanted to mix it up a bit and hopefully make everyone happy. But the shell is so different and the drive had to be changed for clipping I decided to give it it's own name. It looks like a Quarter Pounder box from Mcdonalds, so I introduce to you, Double Quarter Pound My Angus.

It's a pretty unique shape for a shell spinner. Great job

The hexagonal pattern on the wedge looks nice. Paint it yellow, and you could rename your bot "Killer Bee Hive." (if you want to, it's just an idea.)
Thyrus wants to remake his iconic RA2 bot, called Ryu Kishin. So it's just going to be called Kishin

Newest bot Pecker. This isn't supposed to be IRL or competitive.
I've been having a lot of issues with extenders not attaching right, which has kind of killed my motivation to make anything serious.

Guys, You may have an RA2 game that you downloaded long ago, but any RA2 game you download now will (1) fail to extract properly and (2) glitch constantly.
Be lucky if you still have a working game because any person that starts playing RA2 nowadays will witness what I just described.
As I said before, RA2 is dead, and will no longer work unless you have a really, really old RA2 game in your file.
I downloaded mine literally 6 months ago.
6 months ago, all RA2 games worked.
Now, it's changed. TCRR just got lucky.
I've had 4 copies running well for about 10 months?
Nice try alt-tactular.
10 months. 10 months ago you downloaded this game. RA2 started malfunctioning 3 weeks ago from now.
(Image removed from quote.)
Listen up, Red. Y'need to stop spreading lies. I've just downloaded ALL possible RA2 versions. Stock, DSL 2.1 and 2.2, and Ironforge. Guess what? They all opened and worked like a charm.
Next time you try to claim something isn't working anymore, at least have the decency to ****ing test out your theory first.
That's honestly pretty serious from you

"One Way To Destruction" 2 Armed Flipper powered by large VDMA's. 8 Tornado wheels all powered by NPC Fast. It does struggle to flip bots.
Again, put your pictures on your post by pressing insert attachment after choosing what file to use in the attachment. It will make it easier and more pleasing to see the pictures. As for the bot itself, the main problem with it is the flipper. The flipping arm should look like one cohesive arm than two thin different flipping arms. To fix it, you can make the arm thicker, as well as intersect the extenders on the arms with each other, then position both arms so they look like one arm than two different arms. Also, skirt is considered illegal in IRL building most of the time, as IRL, they would bend when hitting or get hit by something. You can replace the skirts with wedgelets And for the arms itself, also reduce the height on it. It looks a bit tall honestly. Make it so the arms are flush with the top of the chassis than the current one you have

So, not a mod or someone major, but decided to make an important post here. Doing that because a month or two ago IIRC, Doot gave Hoppin access to the RGS2 files. Then, back in March, Hoppin posted that file to a secret channel for staffs in the GTM Discord when Geese asked if Doot ever gave the file to Hoppin. I decided to download the file, having access to it. After that, I have a thought about hosting, as I wanted to do it again, especially after the news of a potential RGS2 revival earlier.
I initially wanted to do LW or MW, but soon, decided to settle on AW and BW. So far, I was able to use some of my free time to record the vids. I recorded all 76 remaining fights in both the AW and BW divisions, finishing them entirely, with some interesting results that you will discover yourself as the episodes are posted up. I plan to start editing and posting eps once I finish my RL stuff on late April and hopefully do well enough to graduate. So, if everything goes well, expect AW WB2 to air first on early May, or if I work harder and quicker with more time, late April, few days after finishing my National test.
Also, for other divisions, Hoppin plans to do LW to CW once he finish hosting GTM: Open Event 2, and Apex: Elite Series. As for SHW, Bildschirm will do it once he finish Nature Wars 2.
So that's all I have to say. I'll make sure RGS2 will resume again to the entertainment of you all, starting from AW division. Perhaps it will even lead to a RGS3 in the future.

Hi All, its Nick here, builder of "Breaking Point". For now im showing of a bot Called "Ace 5". Im not really proud of this as it was rushed and not so good weaponry. It has Steel 3. Any constructive Criticism would be appreciated. - Nick
So first, you should insert your attachments to your post rather than just making the pics like that. Also, I recommend you save your screenshots as png instead of bmp, and to drop it As for the bot, the skin looks decent. However, one tip is you can scale your bot skin before making it to be two times the size. So you can have sizes like 512x512, and 1024x1024 Also, I recommend you use very small VDMA's for the hammer instead, as they are stronger. In addition, I think you can ditch some of the large air tanks to save weight for something better, like two wedgelets so your bot won't get wedged. Also, not sure with the second flamethrower behind the front one The bot is pretty decent though. I like the Diesector concept

Bot rundown and opinions: The Tim T-Rackers Experience: Woke bot. For the real design though, I like the protective panel on side track. Idk what to feel about the flail Vlad spikes though Trak Team: Looks simple and basic I like the wedge and disc though. However, I don't like how the hinges are exposed and looks a bit floating like that. Sonar: Cool ring spinner. I like the new colored teeth on it Lockdown: Simple, but cool sawbot. I especially like the wedge on it, as well as the holding teeth Big Box: Just going to say it's very woke. The vertical track is unique though, I suppose Dr Phil the Ranch Sender: Woke meme and tracked The Outsider. For the bot itself though, I love the front and support, as well as the large drum InTracktable II: Cool bot from TR. The wedge looks clean. I also think the top part with the flipper, as well as the angled track guards are unique Rezob: Nice overhead. I hope it performs better after it's Mech Madness performance. Angry Protest Alt: Very woke too. That disc looks a bit cool though Space Dump: Awesome hammer. I like the teeth on the opposing side of the hammer, as well as the extenderwork and scoop on it. Poison Frog 2: Looks clean. I also like the weapon support Massive Mammoth 2: The flipper not flushing with the wedge fully, as well as the exposed hinges bother me. Idk what to feel about the Slapshot inspired wedging shell panel on flipper though. The little bit of extenderwork on the track is neat though Junkyard Crawler Evo: I think the new extenderwork on this version is cool. I like how it the track guards and weapon support are all one structure Big Box Mk 2: Woke again. The 4WD tracks, as well as the little drum is neat though Death Stranding: I think the teeth connection point with the rest of the tribar look flimsy, as the extender doesn't cover the typhoon teeth attachment point fully. Fallen Angel: Cool clampbot. I like how the clamp is done No Values: The gutripper setup is neat Track: Simple. Idk how much damage the hammers will do though Better Griffin: I like the spinner and flamethrower hybrid weapon Clawed Creature: Neat clamp/hammer Tracker: Maybe it can do well with the amount of weapon Ramp Buster: Same opinion as Tracker Also still oof that my DSL-S bot modification is useless

For a rookie, your builds are very ambitious. I like that. Keep it up!
Thank you, I hope I don't let you down, but I probably will when all my bots start looking the same.
Two more bots;
Plonker V3:
Plonker was garbage, and I tried to listen to the advice. Besides advice that said not to build a generic overhead spinner, because I grew up watching hazard dammit. Thicker weapon bar, better space management, bigger wedge. A few people told me to build it with smaller drive motors to make it thinner, and I did. I actually made 2 other scratch rebuilds before this. I decided that even if it makes my bot taller, the extra speed/drive power was worth the trade off. The smaller motors also forced me to make a longer bot, which I did not like. I'm starting to like this one now.
[ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ]
Angle Grinder:
I don't really know what this build was about. I wanted to make an angled spinner and that was all I worked with. I mounted a weapon motor at an angle and then just built the rest of the robot around it without any planning again, because I'm bad at planning. It was originally supposed to be a bar spinner, but I wasn't liking any of the bars I was putting together, so I just tossed the disc on there. It's hard to drive because if you turn fast you flip in either direction. The bright side is I originally had fast motors, so i dropped them to regular ones to save weight and slow down so I stopped sending myself to the moon.
[ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ]
The new Plonker definitely looks better, that it's cleaner, with no gap between parts anymore, thicker bar, and covered sides. Also, Angle Grinder is pretty cool. I like the shape of the chassis especially
