If it really is crashing randomly at all of the above times it's most likely just not playing nice with your PC hardware and you're out of luck. If it crashed at a specific point every time or you did something to trigger the crashes we could help, but you're not really giving us anything to work with.

You mentioned that DSL and RWRA2 crash, does stock default RA2 crash?

When does it crash? At launch, in matches, selecting bots etc?

http://www.geek.com/games/no-mans-sky-wipes-your-discoveries-after-two-weeks-1668222/

"One of the biggest selling points of No Man’s Sky for many folks was that they could name solar systems, planets, animals, plants, and regions within planets to whatever they wanted (provided it was family friendly, of course).  In what seems to be a recurring theme for this game, it turns out that this feature isn’t exactly what was promised as several players are reporting that, after two weeks, their discoveries get erased from the game."

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

oh, and don't use ant batteries, batteries don't work like DSL2.1. Use the long dark battery, that's good for 3 motors I think. It tells you in the description how long the battery will serve 3 motors.

2305
You still have in insane amount of empty space there. Try making the chassis small enough to only fit the control board and batteries, and put everything else on extenders outside of the bot. Also, those wedges aren't really long enough to do much, although I guess they're OK to stop you from getting outwedged by a gutripper or something. I think the drive is overkill as well for a MW HS.

It's a lot better than your "joke" bots, put some more time into it and it'll actually be good!

It only occurs on threads waiting for mod approval.

Added a poll, removed the bottype restriction.
I can AI, but not very well (ask RedAce)
Uh, excuse me?

I think he means "ask RedAce how bad at AIing I am"

anyway, there's gonna be so many swastika bots
This. And I'll probably stop accepting swastikas after the first 2

Tournament Archives / Chassis Swap-Up - Signups
« on: August 23, 2016, 11:32:06 PM »

Rules:
Stock, Unrealistic, Standard ruleset (BFE, AAM etc banned as per usual)
Heavyweight
16 entrants, 1 entry per person.
Multibots allowed, but if one dies they both lose.
SnS, Crawlers and ghey stuff banned. Unless you do something cool like that SnS flipper.
No more than 20 irons/maces/bear claws on pure HS. Do something interesting.
RO7 break allowed, the one that lets you do a million chassis points allowed.
1 havok restart per match per bot, any further havoks count as a round loss.
No skinned or custom components (but I have sage's skin pack so I'll let that slide)
I can AI, but not very well (ask RedAce about my AI skillz), I strongly suggest you AI your bot yourself.
Bots may not be updated
Arena will be The Trauma Pit
The bye bot is Snake Bite 2

Gimmick:
All entrants must only submit a chassis. I'll reject you if you send something that's impossible to build with or just max size etc. Make it interesting folks, get creative with the paintjobs too.
After everyone has submitted their chassis, I'll then send every entrant a different chassis the the one they submitted
You CANNOT change the paintjob of the chassis given to you.
There will be a deadline after all the chassis have been distributed to get your finished bot back in. Any slowpokes will be replaced by a byebot

Signups:
1: RedAce
2: Thrackerzod
3: Wen
4: Mr AS
5: Kurt
6: 090901
7: Squirrel_Monkey
8: Guldenflame
9: Apanx
10: Dreamcast
11: kill343gs
12: geice
13: kill again (I'll build in this one)
14: Sage
15: MNB
16:

Black: Received
Red: Issue (Spot is not reserved)
Orange: Chassis Accepted
Green: Bot Accepted

Signups will end a week from approval, at which point everyone will receive someone else's chassis. You'll then have a week to submit your final bot. Anyone who doesn't submit a bot in that time will be replaced by a bye-bot.
The bracket/group system will be a scaled down version of the PC group/bracket system.

Another idea:

Everyone submits a chassis
I randomly assign a chassis to each person
You have to build with the chassis submitted to you
Hard Mode: I also assign you a random bot type.

Superheavyweight Slamdown
Stock SHW (1200kg)
No pure HS/Popups
Meltybrain banned
Ring arena maybe idk

Thoughts? Would this garner enough interest?

interested enough to see how this goes, currently trying to get the game so even if I wanted to complete I couldn't.
If you want to get help, you can PM me or join the GTM discord for quicker advice than posting in the forum. Tournaments are open to newbies and often a good way to learn, so when you have something you're happy with don't be scared to enter :)

Gabriel did impress me a bit, but it just looks... weird. Like, it literally looks like something that was originally designed in RA2. It is probs the most minmax-ed robot I've seen, ever.
min fun max aids :D

I think it's designed so that the only place that really gets hits are the wheels, and they're very hard to damage really

2319
Forget the extra srimech, it's wasted weight. Stop using the tallest batteries and make the chassis low enough so the most can run upside down. Use the extra weight you gain from that to all most weaponry, right now this bot is gonna get outweaponed easily by a MW.

Instead of just sticking sheets out of the front of the bot, make a wedge using a skirt hinge and attach a shirt on the middle attachment point.

Unless this update is literally an entire new game made from scratch, RA3 will still be worthless.
