How about ditching the ballast and switching to shinies? Would the wheels ruin the aesthetic?
This, also fits the ronin theme more by having the wheels poke out of the top. Feels wrong to have wheel holes in the skin with no wheels to go through.

Also, if you're using a ballast for weight distro, why do you have 90kg of batts toward the back of the bot?

if I had extra weight.
Theres literally a ballast sitting there doing nothing. Unless stock scramble forces you to use a ballast, why not replace it with the pole spikes?

Signups close tomorrow. Enter while you can!
ok, but i wish they'd extend the deadline
Dude the signups have been open for SO long. I procrastinated loads, made like 6 different bots for stock and still got a bot made, AI'd and skinned in every category 5 days before the deadline. Everyone has had more than enough time.
well I'd get bots done quickly too if i used ra2cf to stack everything like you do
Stay mad kid ;D

I actually make nearly all my bots off prebuilt chassis so I don't have to stack, and my actual entry only had a cb-nifty stack which is quicker to do without.

Cool concept, but DSL2.2 might not be the best for this, as it's super imbalanced (with mechavore discs and frenzy hammers). Pretty much every entrant is gonna be a weapon spam hammer or popup I'd bet.

Still gonna enter either way :P

For some reason the drive makes the bot hop up and down, particularly when turning, making the wedges useless. Any idea how to fix this? Has the same issue on Kyoto but the 140cm extenders fixed it, not so here.

Might wanna find some other images for that post Craaig, half of them are dead links.
I can see them all fine.
. Huh, they're all working for me now as well. My bad my dude.

worried about getting shoved OOTA?
This. And the hammers would do nothing if it were floating. I think it'll work better this way.

Probable entry to the championship. Expecting it to get rekt by a hoverbot. The hover engine in this one is the ground engine. Something like titanium 1 I think.

Probable entry to the championship. SB 1 was probably my first bot built off a single snapper that was completely stable and had no AGOD. Evolutionary changes rather than revolutionary in the update (just switching the weapon rack really). Wedges are good.

Wonder if a smaller version using actual wheels would work better.

I think we've known about this for a while. Glad you've broughit it up though, tournament hosts not recording in 1080p drives me up the wall.

Something to note is that you can't export or import paint templates while using 16:9, and you can't go right to the edges in the chassis design tab either I think.

O.K. so custom templates dont work... it crashed my game once... and i stopped....

now the "you cant go right to the edges" part... mine can go over the grid and corners!

the thing you can do is try to lower width in second segment for building ONLY.. again, the game was 4:3 made.... what is your PC res?
Custom paint templates don't work cause you did something wrong and crashed your game once. Thanks for letting us know brother.
If you're using some 3rd world res like 720p or 16:10 maybe, at 1080p you can't use the full chassis template.
Honestly the glitches with 16:9 are minor annoyances, and you can change back to 4:3 with a couple clicks. Protip, make your ra2.cfg read-only so you don't have to re-edit it every time you want to go from 4:3 to 16:9

Looking pretty good my dude, except you can only have a max of 16 entrants for your first tournament. Hopefully you can get it filled up quickly and you won't have any issues.

OK, well at least use a 16:9 format like 1280x720 instead of 4:3 stretched or some crap.
