Okay, Kurt's gonna do a new tourneyament for you guys, I think it might;ve been done before but I can't remember. Here's the basic gist of it.
WHAT DOESN'T KILL YOU...
DSL - Probably IRL again. Weightclass - LW, MW, CW, and HW.
- 16 entrants in a Single Elimination bracket. - Each entrant must send a four-strong team of robots that are pretty much the same. In Round One the Lightweights will get used, then in Round Two the Middleweights will get used, Round Three is Cruiserweights, and the Final is Heavyweights. - Given that it's based around "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger." it would make sense that way.
- Each robot must start of as a LW then slowly evolve at each weightclass it increases to. - They must all look and function the same way, no adding a flywheel to the Cruiserweight version of a flipper robot.
Questions?
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
I'm down for editing this, but what's good? Ironforge or DSL, and IRL or Standard?
Another idea would be Keep Your Enemies Close 2, because sequels = easy
I agree, this is a great idea. I only have experience in standard (so obviously that's what I prefer), but I'm only one person. Let's see what the majority of people want.
I think a cool idea would be a round robin type deal similar to ironbot or whatever it was called, but when your HW dies you use the CW, when the CW dies you use the MW etc until your LW gets knocked out and you're out of the tournament.

And RW is an entertainment show before a competition, just as people are claiming this series is.
There's a fundamental difference or two between Banter Wars and Robot Wars. You're clever enough to figure them out yourself.
Yeah, you wouldn't make a video complaining about banter wars being sh** :)
That would be a pretty stupid move on my part if I were to criticise my own show...
And no, that's not the difference. The main difference is a word that starts with M.
MingLee edit: To be fair it probably was a big mistake. AHOG obviously didn't know how seriously we take the integrity of our bots here, and short of a complete redo of the heat I think he handled it alright. The observerbot is still a pile of sh** tho :P And boto, as always, is being a melodramatic whingey tard

Some people like to spend there time outside RA2 you know not everyone is going to be a professional at it and tournaments like BW are meant for those kinds of people not tryhard no lifers.

thats like me ruining a GTM competition by complaining about every tiny little detail that didn't look correct or was unfair
Thing is in GTM tournaments we don't have unfair stuff like this. If one of you did a project as big as this one in the future, I'll make sure to harrass you for any mistake you make and try to ruin the whole project. How does that sound?
There's one about to start actually. Please, PLEASE do this.

Mixing up 2 bots is an honest mistake which I don't think most people would mind at all. Sabotaging an entrant is really not a mistake, especially when (according to badnik) you were asked if the robot needed to be toned down and you responded that it did not.

Look Badnik... I'm sure you may feel like you've been rudely kicked out of the competition, but the fact of the matter is that you lost, we all loose a lot of things, I'm sure you've lost your fair share of GTM tournaments, we improve our robots by failing and seeing what went wrong, granted that the Observabot was being unfair pushing you around when it should be unbias, but if you look around at other sports, there is always one mistake or one bias ref/judge that screws the potential of someone or a team that could have surely won it! Maybe if you add a srimech to it next year it could probably be a lot better and when the Observabot tries pushing your robot around and if it makes a mistake you can correct yourself and then go and attack it. Mabye ask AHOG for a grudge match in 2.5 should you chose to compete again, still was fun to see you knock Spyder's Lights out and Take out most of Facicious Goose's weapon
I'm fairly certain badnik could not give less of a sh** about if he won banter wars or not. Editing someone's robot without their consent then displaying that robot in your tournament in its sh**tified state is incredibly rude and dishonest, not least because it makes badnik look like a worse builder than he is. On top of all that, badnik explicitly asked if his robot was too powerful, and AHOG said that it wasn't and that it did not need editing. the controversial third goal awarded to England in the 1966 World cup, that was contriversal and wasn't reset, and I can understand why Badnik is upset yugitom but I don't understand why he has to slate AHOG in the process when this is clearly just a big misunderstanding that has been over exaggerated, if I'm being perfectly honest it was unfair but the fact is he lost, if AHOG did change it without Badniks acknowledgement that is worng but I think if AHOG thought it was too op after he responded to Badnik and needed to change it, he is perfectly in his rights to do so , it is his series after all and he has 63 other competitors on top of Badnik so there are bound to be a few mistakes with a project this large.
This wasn't a misunderstanding, this was a deliberate attempt by AHOG to sabotage badnik's bot for whatever reason, both by editing his bot (making one disc spin the opposite way, then removing a battery) and using the observer bot to screw over badnik multiple times, neither of which can be considered an accident. It was not a mistake at all, it was very deliberate. but I think if AHOG thought it was too op after he responded to Badnik and needed to change it, he is perfectly in his rights to do so No he is not, if he thought the bot was OP he should have rejected it from signups or asked badnik himself to tone it down. Again, badnik explicitly asked AHOG if his bot needed editing to make it less powerful, and AHOG said that it did not.

1) crop the image 2) upload using the GTM exporter cause the image compression is horrid on here 3) post it in the discord cause nobody critiques bots in here

that extender work looks horrendously inefficient. You should be able to get RADs and 2 plots if you downgrade to 2 or 3 razors, which is all you need TBH, especially with a snapper2.
