I feel like the armour panel on the top is unnecessary, in the current meta you generally need to worry about gut-ripping spinners more than axes or hammers. You could save about 10kg by mounting the wedgelets on 10cm aluminium extenders instead of multi-extenders, but idk what you'd be able to do with that.
It's a good, clean build, though, and a pretty original choice. Don't see many Black Ice knock-offs. 203

This actually happens to me as well, and has been happening for a while, so I'd be interested to know the solution.

It's actually 150x150, I've had a lot of fun cropping and shrinking my various avatars to get them that size
would probably have been easier if I'd used an actual image-editing program instead of PowerPoint but shut up I like PowerPoint 206

After Octane's performance in Mech Madness 2, I decided to finally get round to updating it. What started as a simple round of upgrades eventually turned into an almost-total rebuild that took me three solid hours, but finally, here it is:
It has a completely new chassis, is now invertible, has enough battery to actually last three minutes, I've redesigned the front wedge, strengthened the weapon supports... I'm really happy with this thing now. This is what Octane should've been from the start. 208

I think for your RWRA2 robots, you might have to make a separate showcase in the Custom Components sub-forum. Speaking of which, that looks like an RWRA2 build to me. Either way, you'll want to get some supports on the weapon. The real Cedric Slammer had a structure on the left-hand side of the disc to hold it in place. Even if this wasn't a replica, it wouldn't be IRL with the disc just floating in mid-air like that.

A while back, I made an extremely flat LW rammer named Knuckle Sandwich. The idea was to counter overheads by just being too low for them to hit. I decided to see if the concept translated to MW level - and while I'm at it, why not make two and turn them into a HW cluster?
I don't think the experiment worked, tbh. They're too slow to build up decent ramming power, and too under-weaponed to actually be viable as a HW cluster... plus you don't see many overheads at HW level anyway. Hmm. Well, at least it's something different. 210

Yeah, skin needs work, and if it's too fast and fragile you can always drop the motors down to save weight. Dunno about the battery life either. Looks great, though. I love the serrations on the wedge, they look cool and they might be able to serve a functional purpose of stopping robots from slipping off the front.

A couple of weeks ago I had a mad idea, and I finally got round to finishing it:
The idea was to make a flamethrower bot with some actual KO potential, and so I combined the flames with a dustpan saw blade. I have no idea how the hell you would AI this thing, but it's different, and I think it came out looking pretty nice. 214

Welcome back! I'm basically gonna repeat what's already been said - that Chaos 2 rep looks awesome, the HS not so much - but I'll also add that I took a sneaky peek in your old showcase and Gladiator 2 actually looks really cool. I think it could actually slot right into the current IRL meta, with just a few touch-ups.
What is the ballpark for a MW motor these days... A TWM seems the logical choice, though NPC motors used to be my go-to motor for moving stuff.I think Slimbody motors will do in a pinch, but ideally, you'll want either TWMs or NPCs. Depends how much weight you have to spare, and also on the kind of robot you're building. Drive's not as important in a HS as it is in a flipper or rammer. 215

Wow, your builds have come on leaps and bounds since you started. Barely a box in sight anymore! All your practice is really paying off.
