Yeah I can probably send a team or two over. Not sure what I would do yet, but I got a few ideas.

I'm debating having an alternate configuration with maybe re skinned drums, but the Dreadnought discs look cool maaan. 183

Round 3 Matchups are now up.
I do apologize for taking for taking so long. University work has crept up hard on me this week. I should be able to get back on track this week and get this going. 188
DSL TC Showcases / Re: RedAce's DSL Showcase« on: April 03, 2019, 11:19:40 PM »Seeing the problems that the previous AN bots had, such as being somewhat slow for a rammer, and getting stuck on walls, it needs to have some way to be much more agile, and it seems I got this to work, but this is untested as of now. Took at least a version of each incarnation of every AN at this point along with something to make this version original in its own right. Also, this is the second version of AN4, I had one that looked like this: But this looked like a drastic shift compared to the past versions and I wasn't too fond of it to be honest. 189

Round 2 of Robotic Murder Party 2 is now up! (Slightly late oh well)
Round 3 matchups will be posted momentarily. Also, there might be a slight delay on rounds since the monitor I use on my current PC to edit videos is giving no display, and I'm currently working on fixing that right now. I'm just unsure on what the exact issue with it is at the moment. I might be able to edit videos with this laptop I'm using, but that depends if I can Vegas on this without frying it overall. Although with finals creeping up and other class projects creeping even closer, that might make things more difficult. I apologize for the delays in advance. I imagine those who have waited for this tournament have waited more than enough, but I really would like to get this up soon. 190

At long last, Robotic Murder Party 2 Round 1 is now up!
I will post Round 2 match-ups momentarily. (Also sorry about the sound issues with the minigame, but also the sounds from the game are coming in quite fuzzy in general, and I don't know why that was when I was recording). 193

DP
Still trying to mess around with extenderbots, and I'm gonna be honest, I still don't know what I'm doing. Taking some notes from other builders and responses from discord, and I'm getting mixed answers. Some said it's solid, others say not so much. Probably not a good thing in the long run. 194

This is quite possibly the most Thrackerzod thing that Thrackerzod has ever Thrackerzoded. I expected nothing less.

DSL TC Showcases / Re: RedAce's DSL Showcase« on: March 12, 2019, 05:44:25 PM »Inspired by SawBlaze primarily. It's not too bad from testing, but the arm loves to pick up momentum and is rather slow otherwise. The typhoons are more meant to either be a backup weapon with momentum and/or trap bots in front to avoid bots getting too far over the wedge and into the saw arm. I wasn't sure what to place without the bot kinda looking ugly. I should also reskin the TazBot wheels and saw. Right now it kinda looks out of place. 196
Stock Showcases / Re: RedAce's Stock Showcase« on: March 11, 2019, 05:00:09 PM »Hey, good to see ya back again man. Sorry to hear about the illness, but here's hoping you feel better soon. But yeah, as far as SCAI rebuilds, I do actually have a good amount of bots rebuilt, and even most of the submissions from the revival Google folders thing from 2-1/2 years ago, mostly to keep the V4 Alpha build pack I have currently up to date. Some are alright from my testing, but others are rather good, but I would like to keep trying to give that spirit of the original bot back somehow. I guess speaking of bots that I have rebuilt, here's the one that took this months Unrealistic section of BOTM:Uhhhh..... I recall Pwn building this one like a year ago, and recall him struggling, and I think the solution to making a good Vortex CE was to have a 4-SnapperII build, which is what I took for this approach. Was a bitch and a half to get both snappers stacked in the exact rotation, and I think I lucked out I even got the two snappers stacked anyway, but I feel I could still rebuild this but with two static HPZ's stacked with ASAS, just to keep it stable. Cause this is a 24HS, and damn is this thing crazy as hell. Once this thing picks up speed, this is pure kinetic energy, and it's dangerous. Kinda took the name into a pun for the bot, and I know CE is meant to be a modernized version of Vortex from SCAIv2, but ironically, Vortex CE has aged poorly, and either name could've worked, but I kinda liked the sound of "Vortex KE". Still, this is a pretty good rebuild, one of the better ones I made if I recall correctly. 197

Slightly cloned Geese's VS, but whatever. I feel I'm not quite doing it right, but it beat the crap out of Fat Rat, and Wheel of Misfortune, so I guess it's alright, but feels weird. 199

Never noticed that actually. I was more concerned on how similar it looked nearly identical to a similar bot I built like four years ago, as Wen mentioned. Doesn't seem to matter too much in the end. Also, got a good chunk of progress on recordings so far, but I'll be lucky if I can get a video out this week. Also, if entrants can get back on me on your PM I sent, that would be great. |
