Decided to keep up the creative stride with a Free Hugs inspired bot... thing.

It's more of a fun joke bot as the free hinges don't do a lot as they flex out quite a bit, so I don't have a clue what to AI it to work effectively with that in mind.  Ah well, I wasn't expecting a highly effective bot with this anyway.

Heat A of Deathmatch 5 is now up!

*Editing is a little rocky in areas, as I'm still re-learning the new software as of now.  Certainly more complicated than VEGAS was in a lot of areas.

Does anyone even post comments here anymore?  Might as well just put in here so we all look at it then just walk away.

Oh yeah Deathmatch 5 is coming soon, but yeah back on topic I guess.

Well this is kinda depressing for a turnout. Thanks to the two who took part but I guess BOTM on the forum is not gonna happen anymore.
I think it was just that most forgot about it until the very end, and then most were doing holiday stuff so they couldn't get their bots done last minute
Honestly, same.  That, and I was struggling for a winter themed bot this time.

Thanks for the votes everyone! I'm pretty chuffed to be voted not only for several awards but also voted into the Hall of Fame so :heart_smiley: Very happy Deathmatch won most of the tournament awards too (just you wait RedAce...I'm winning Best Editing next year ;) )

Congrats to everyone else who won awards too. Hopefully the next year for GTM/RA2 as a whole will be really good but that requires a bit of help from everyone!

Here's to 2020!
Oh man, once I manage to master my new set of my editor apps, you are so screwed.

But trash talking that may or may not actually encourage people, thanks for everyone that voted in this, and congrats to those that got award as well

Let's hope 2020 is a great new year for everyone.  :)

Haven't updated in a while, so I might as well put some bots I've been showcasing on Discord.

Wanted to make this for a while.  A Drum/HS T-Wrex Style design.  Does rather fine, but it needs more strength in the drum at least and the HS, so I might update this once I stop being lazy.

A Hammer-bot since I feel I haven't made one in ages.  It's kinda fun but lacking in personality in skin and such, so I didn't have much to say.

A second hammer bot, but this one is a CW and pretty good from the one or two tests I had.  The color scheme is kinda that fever dream idea from some "sweet tooth" hence the name.  Might actually update the edges since Robo showed a method that I never thought of, and the skin might be a bit too much in the color department.

Third incarnation of Redrum, a little more reminiscent of the actual bot in real life.  It's got Eteks powering the weapons so it's just as insane as well, so I guess it's appropriate.

Finally got around to building something that's not a vertical spinner for once.

I gotta say, this has to be probably the best version of Aggressive Negotiations yet.  With 6 NPC Fasts and two merged burst flippers this time, it just works.  So much faster and is much more powerful than ever.  It does have a habit of doing Mute style acrobatics when it needs to self-right, but hopefully good driving can mitigate the problem.  Not sure what I want to do with it yet.  I'm tempted to enter it in another parsec tournament at some point, but I still feel I haven't gotten enough practice to really put this to good use yet.

Here we are.  Got every bot AI'd and ready to go.  Once I get a secure editor in place, I should be able to get things going.  In the meantime, you can give out your predictions and general thoughts for each bot.

I will willingly allow him my spot and I participate in the wildcard. I say this based on how I think my entry will be perceived, so we shall let the Gods decide
Much respect for you man.  That's honestly really kind of you.  So once I get the SBV thread up, I'll get the Wildcard battle, as well as the heat draws as soon as I can get things organized.  Right now, I'm just trying to get a new plan going with my editing software as right now Vegas Pro 14, the one I've been using for a straight two years, is starting to become more difficult to use and as I learned today, not letting me save projects anymore.  Fortunately, I got a plan to replace it but the one I have in mind might take me a bit to relearn it.  Hopefully it doesn't hold me over from making the SBV for long.

Well, I just realized I have an issue.  I forgot to list Double00Rhys2's bot on the signups page when he was accepted long before the last two entrants were accepted.  I deeply apologize for this, because as far as I'm aware, I never had this issue before, and I feel bad now.  I don't want to kick anyone out either, so I guess a compromise would be a quick wildcard battle for the last spot.  Any objections?

I have received Same Dud's entrant.  It is accepted.

Unless I have missed anything, Signups are officially closed!

Now this might take me a bit of time to get the SBV up and ready, but I hope to at least get it ready pretty soon.  No hard date as of now, but hopefully I won't make anyone wait long.

I have received TheRoboteer's LW and Badger's LW.  Both are accepted.

The LW Side Event is closed, but the main CW tournament still has two spots up for grabs!

I have received Geese's LW.  It is accepted.

Only two spots remaining for both the main tournament and side event!

Did I sent you an update to my CW? Just to make sure
Yeah you did.  I just didn't post anything.  It's all good man.
