game theory makes me want to rip my sensory organs out
The show is mostly just for laughs considering the connections in the series of games within are just outright ridiculous since MattPat (the host of Game Theory) elaborates so much that almost feels like the creators of the games make it sound like it's a coincidence. His theories on the lore? they're probably the closest thing we may get to some real horror in this franchise, besides the jumpscares which are pretty scripted. It also brings a deep story that makes me feel if Scott Cawthon actually made these connections on purpose. I feel I'm on both sides of the argument if he did or didn't.

Oh my God. Front hinged burst motors? Thank you so much. You have no idea how angry I was trying to make a front hinged flipper since they don't work with the wedges. But does the piston rod fire with the flipper like in real life flippers or would that make it complicated?

Seems like a good entry. What's bad about it?

SBV ThreadOnce again, congrats to our winner: Squirrel_Monkey with Void Beetle! I will get the Grudge Matches up, but while we are at it, why don't we get some awards out. Voting Rules are: -Anyone can vote. -You cannot vote for your own bot -Joke votes will be thrown out. The Awards are: Most Original: The bot that was different from the rest or looked like something you never see in a tournament. Most Artistic: The bot that had the best skin overall and looked the best from how it was built Most Fearsome: The bot you dreaded to face off against since it was built that good. Most Unlucky: The bot that had bad match-ups or was just flat-out unlucky with what happened. Most Promising Newcomer: The bot that was built by a rookie that had that you thought was the best overall. -Reier with 20 second lifespan -Wacky Bob with Ennui -Thrackerzod with Gamma -Lightning S. with Injection -jaydee99 with Kitten -Virus Bomb with Pandora's Key -G.K. with Purple Dot Box -Squirrel_Monkey with Void Beetle Most Original: 20 second lifespan - When you think BW's, you would usually enter a rammer, a popup or a HS. (This is almost like a rock-paper-scissors aspect with the best bots in this class) However, BW VS's are rare as a blue moon since they disadvantages with 2/3 of the usual entries.
Most Artistic: Gundarsaurus Rex - While a copypaste job, it's still a very fitting one since it's theme is dinosaurs. Yeah, a bit of nostalgia is talking here since it's Calvin & Hobbes, but who doesn't love dinosaurs? Honestly.
Most Fearsome: Void Beetle - There was a lot of tough bots here, but Void Beetle was built by pretty much the pioneer of these 1WD designs, and S_M was one that actually used what was in the rules with his entry. You consider it a stupid rule, (and I see why they're usually banned) but I like to consider it studying for a test. (I'm ready to be burned from the flames of hate)
Most Unlucky: Pandora's Key - There was a bad sign when Pandora's Key pulled a Rage III in it's Heat. It was an unfortunate consequence that had the open walls of the arena actually mean something. That something however, was just crap luck.
Most Promising Newcomer: Ennui - This runner-up was a poker I thought would be outclassed by KLPB and Injection, but I was wrong (in one of the two match-ups) and it's the bot that could've stood a chance against the 1WD HS, but it came to an event that it faced the strongest 1WD. Voting end will end in a week from a couple days of inactivity in the thread. Go nuts.

And you could also shrink the chassis to save a couple kgs for that SnS to get some weapons.
Also, I don't care if the heart bot isn't original, it's hilarious. Just make the text bigger so it looks readable.

I don't think there is away to do that unfortunately.

The weapon does go through the motor so it is not IRL. I will no longer build IRL and you people can just deal with it.
Uhh... go ahead then. I can't stop you.

And the final match is up. And that's the end of this chapter
My final thoughts for this is that I wasn't very pleased. Not how it turned out, but with what happened with AI'ing. I want to host tournaments and have some fun with it, rather than having comments saying there were AI errors. I can understand, even though the rules say don't complain since I'm doing it if you're not, but I can potentially screw things up. I'll be working on my own AI'ing skills so that the bot works perfectly so that nothing can go wrong at all. This is one of the big reasons why I'll wait a pretty long time before I do tournaments again. (besides college). I won't say any kinds of hints of what my next tournament will be though, but I don't know if anyone is actually on the edge of their seat that much since I've been milking myself to make six tournaments in a single year. I know I sound pretty stupid, why don't we just move on and continue with our lives. Shall we?
If any of you still want to have me do any grudge matches, then go right ahead. I'll put up the Awards thread tommorrow.

Losers Bracket Round 1 is now up. Ouch. No luck for Virus Bomb. I can smell the salt already. Also, I'll get some grudge matches after this tournament if you have any requests. I'll allow one match per member so everyone can send one in. These matches will have the same rules as the regular matches. I don't want to go overboard with this so I won't do as many as RiS. I'm really looking for matches that would seem like a good match which hasn't existed already and not as many rematches since some of you weren't happy with how this has gone so far.

The roundhouse arena is awesome! How does it work? Is it like the bridge of doom except the bridge turns or what?

I haven't seen something like this in a long time. I guess if anyone is willing to host a tournament with these rules, then maybe we can see why this doesn't work, or why it's been ignored all these years.
It's not a bad idea, it's worth experimenting.

That DiotiorxPlatypus is cool and all, but shouldn't that be in the Custom Components showcase section since that is literally just the Diotior from the Robot Wars 2013 AI pack with a new skin?
That drunk bot is a bit messy, but it is pretty cool. I feel I should try building drunk one day.

That's a pretty neat way of doing the support. Give it a nice skin and swap out the fire axes for something like beater bars or Hypno teeth and it'll look great.
How would I give it a skin? Never did that before.
You can do one of two things. Paint it inside the texture library, or export the paint job and use your out of game painting skills to give it a skin where the bot lab cannot provide. I suggest doing the latter since you can do so many great paint jobs and even make them in a higher resolution than in game.

Didn't I start a FNAF thread not so long ago?
Anyway, the whole jumpscare thing has been done to death in a horror game and YouTubers just over react where all I did was jump at a sudden thing appear on my screen. However, the games as a whole are great. It functions very well as a strategy game and the game's atmosphere, and especially the lore of the series, excels at what it wants to deliver. It brought things that had you thinking to try and beat the night. My least favorite part about the series though is that when you are trying to beat the night, you'll experience the main focus of the games (mostly FNAF 1 & 2) becomes useless since there are ways to easily manipulate elements of the game to easily survive the later nights of the game since they are pretty challenging. I understand it's a strategy that helps you win, but it's a repetitive strategy that can make even the most popular of Let's Plays dull since your looking at the same thing over and over again. I think the third installment does a great job fixes a lot of the issues since everything feels useful and find ways to make you use it since I can't really find a strategy to manipulate the patterns as easily as FNAF 1 & 2 even if the actions you need to properly react to were as strict. Overall, great series so far. It certainly created a whole new community, that's for sure.
I also think it didn't need the fourth installment since the Trilogy was fine enough with the lore and the sequels that came out in no time at all which can make think Scott Cawthon rushed it or it costed nothing to produce, which has hurt many franchises in the past.

Ha! I wish that could be a good excuse to play RA2 in class. But then again, 09 has already proven how you can.

I think it's what 09 and Reier said. It's mostly since MS paint isn't as technical or advanced as say Gimp, Paint.net, and especially Photoshop. So with little tools that mostly people have barely used in MS paint can make pretty ugly things. What I'm trying to say is that it's really all expectations.
