Those spike strips are pretty ugly, try and find a prettier way to connect the hammers. And you don't need that many batteries, all spin motors draw the same amount of power. A couple battlepacks is more than enough, or a single black and an ant or two.

I made a huge dual perm spinner and called it Dorothy.
(Right click on video > Loop) Plastic 10, 2x NPCF (Rear wheel is on an unpowered axle, it's there to make turning less janky and it works pretty well), 2 battlepacks. The rest you can see :) edit: Skin tweaks and changed the front 'wedges' 126

DSL TC Showcases / Re: Badger's Bots (DSL Showcase)« on: October 14, 2019, 09:59:51 PM »The old wheelguards were way cleaner IMO.I agree, but they were also complete crashbombs, being half small angle pieces. The new ones are *much* nicer on hosts, better at protecting the wheels and a decent chunk lighter. I thought it was a trade-off worth making. Panels would probably be a nicer solution but I'm sh** with the and I'm not particularly hyped to learn. 130

Just because based Apanx added video embedding, here's a preview with literally nothing changed except the skinned wheels. Not sorry for the spam ☺

General Support / Re: Game crashes« on: October 06, 2019, 10:55:13 AM »Only in battles. If it's consistently crashing in menus, there's probably an issueSo I downloaded DSL 2.2 Complete Edition from the DSL 2.2 mods section and it crashes. It doesnt seem to happen at any specific time. The first time I selected exhibition and was choosing robots and it crashed. The second time it crashed before the title even came up. What can I do?This is a 16 year old game. You just gotta deal with it. Sometimes it helps to redownload the game. But it’s still gonna crash a lot nglUnless you messed up an install, this won't help RA2 really doesn't like you alt-tabbing, so try to avoid that. Otherwise, run the game in fullscreen in Windows XP Service Pack 2 Compatibility mode to minimise crashing as much as you can. If the game crashes every single time you select or start a match with a specific bot, or if you try to select a specific item in the botlab, then you have an issue with your install. If it's just random, there's not much you can do aside from the above tips. 135

What burst motor are you using, a VDMA long? Is it strong enough for HWs?

I made a CW for Deathmatch 5
Video link 4x NPCF for drive, overkill motor for the weapon. Steel front panel, basically everything else is Alu. 139

Just cause Orc uses it doesn't mean the rule isn't dumb. I'm flattered that people still have Paladin PTSD, but the meta has moved on and gutripper VS would dump on it.
I might actually make something for this, we'll see. Looking forward to it! 140

IMO CW is a boring weightclass. HW would be cool, or 1000kg if you want to be different. The burst restrictions are ridiculously strict, IMO you don't need to restrict them at all (a common sense approach suffices I think). Good luck doing anything with a single beta. While we're talking about limiting stuff, I think VS and possibly rings should have lower weapon limits than everything else, to promote other bot types.
