yeah I know GS' is impossible but I'm saying theres also plenty more times people do that where it doesn't get caught either.
as long as the end result is indistinguishable from a legitimate bot, i really don't care if BFE is used. GS's is not, and that's why i have issue with it.

if people want to use bfe to stack their blacks, then go ahead, i doubt anybody really cares.

eh. I could see maybe using hax mode to stack blacks, cause that's at least semi-legit, but I will never condone BFE
I don't condone BFE either, but until someone finds a way to accurately catch those who do it, it's just something we're going to have to accept and live with.

I would prefer a new thread be started if we're going to start debating on the legality of BFE.

Round 3 of the Losers bracket is up

to be fair stock kind of encourages this sort of abuse :L
except he bfe'd something that is not possible in the botlab.

if i did the same thing in ironforge or dsl with a component that doesn't fit, would you say it's alright?
I don't condone its use. But I also understand why people use it in stock (and I'd hunch that plenty of people use it) since it takes an eternity to stack/axle load/etc things that you could add quicker with bfe and would look exactly the same.
i don't think you get what i'm trying to say, what gauche did is IMPOSSIBLE to do legally in the botlab. the only way to build his bot is with either bfe or aam. His bot could not be built legally at all.

remember kids: if you are going to bfe, at least do something that is possible in the botlab.

sooo how did you do it then
do you think I'd waste 4 hours trying to get lucky ?
with stock you gotta do that sometimes
not resort to bfe lol
the things he did wouldn't be even possible without bfe lmao
i know
but he obviously found a solution
lmao
he built it with the achor at 0 degrees, then bfe'd it to a 90 degree anchor. doubt most people would have caught it since most people know nothing about stock

honestly that's pretty fuking gay bro.

random question, how many of you guys actually check for bfe/aam when going over entries?

For those that do, do you skim through the botfile to see if there is anything that doesn't add up, like super-strong armor or weapons that are bfe'd to the baseplate? Or, do you just check the bot in the lab for components that you feel are out of place and cannot be attached I the position they're in?

Just curious as I think that a lot of people assume that just saying "no bfe" is a legitimate deterrent.

ok

i've got kingofkings bot, but idk what this match is even supposed to be. like is this IRL, standard or what? cause kingofkings bot is barely DSL-S realistic imo, and it has a bfe'd burst arc.

if someone could hook me up on what this challenge is supposed to be then let me know.

You really should learn how to AI before hosting a tournament.

You did have a non-invertible one way back.
kos did one with the anchors inside of the nifty
probably could save weight on the last one if i stack the anchor inside one of the zteks.

everyone else is building one so why not. wanted to see if it could be built with baseplate drive.

turns out you can, but it has plastic instead of DSA. 248.7, extender setup could be lighter but it's about 10kgs overweight with DSA so it really doesn't matter. chassis has alot of empty space though, so it might be possible if you made the chassis airtight (though i doubt you'd be able to stack everything inside)

Keeping the door open for paid DLC gives us flexibility to work with content creators who may have unique content that we can only obtain at an extra cost.

in cases where there's a cool piece of content that we can only obtain by supporting paid DLC.
I would hope this means official licencing for real life bots/arenas, and not selling user-created content for a quick buck.

Just so you know, Reforged is an ironforge AI pack, not stock
