Trying to build and fly my first flyer.

Building flyers is hard. Flying flyers is even harder.

But it definitely gives a giant advantage in mobility and attack angles. I think I will try and perfect a tier 2 flier, cuz tanks are boring.

You can also build rocket cars, which are also really fast.  Just add 2 steering wheel lv 1 since they have no artificial speed cap, then add a bunch of thrusters.

One of these days you are going to upgrade your wheels.  So what do you do with your old set?  Make power armor out of them!!!!



They won't affect your max speed as long as they are lifted above ground.  And of course, always buy ST versions of any wheels.

Yeah, most of the big flyers out there use their own thrusters as armor. They are incredibly tough.

The blocks you're using are heavy blocks. They have the same armor/HP as the lighter white ones. Their only purpose is for ballast. You're only slowing down you vehicle with those.

Have you taken apart the other 2 default vehicles in the garage yet? You get like 200 white armor blocks + 200 angled white blocks for doing that. Just put layer after layer on until you hit the CPU limit. Remove some when you upgrade your guns. That's over 12000 RP worth of blocks if you include those dumb windshield blocks and the other default stuff.

You know if weight is actually a concern, you should use "inner" instead of cube, as they also have 6 connection points but weights 3.35 instead of 5.

If the download got interrupted in any way, it can corrupt your game. Re-download and re-install it.

There are two possible causes for this:

    If you closed the launcher in the middle of an update. The solution is to install the launcher again. In doing this, the launcher will re-download the full game and you will be able to continue playing Robocraft.
    If you are an long term user and used an old version of the Launcher and recently updated it. In this case what happens is that your old game is installed under C:\Program Files (x86)\Robocraft\ while you new game is installed in C:\Games\Robocraft\. What happens is that the new launcher updates the game under C:\Games\Robocraft\ but when you hit your Robocraft shortcut it runs the old game in \Program Files. To solve it delete the version in \Program Files and make a short cut to the Robocraft.exe in C:\Games\Robocraft

Aiming is hard. It needs some practice. You could try taking the lateral paths and and attack others from behind. It's the tactic I use because my ship isn't made for frontal assaults

You know when you only build slow glass cannons, you can only get so many hits in before you die.

Hovercraft just isn't that good until end game where you can lift 5 layers of unconnected armors.  Slow and Hovering really just spells "shoot me plz".

This. Some tanks and ships (I have to call them that. They don't feel like robots.), when you build them, correspond to a tactic that works best for them.

My tank, the Fortress of Ignorance, has an excellent frontal heading, so facing the target and picking at them from afar with my L4 cannon is a good tactic for me. But, also because it has an excellent frontal heading and enough guns, I can come in close and directly engage a couple of other tanks and weather the attack for long enough to do critical damage to both before having to pull back and resort to the first tactic.

Fliers, on the other hand, I'm not sure how to effectively counter against except for with a new bot entirely. The best way to defend against fliers is keeping them on radar with a higher level radar device, then just go at them whether you can reach them or not, and really go at them when you can.

Some technical updates to this tank, the Tetra Armor.

In this game, extra damage are transfer to component it's connected to, which means you can control the flow of damage received.   If you build your armor right, you can have damage transferred to the base where very little is going on, instead of having your gun/pilot taken out.

By Tier 6 and up you can die real fast, and solid cube spamming tanks that works great at lower tiers just isn't enough.
