This game feels like building in Stock, Small Chassis, no empty space, weapon spam, and build to the weight limit.


Weapons: 8x Top L1S and 12x Top L1
Drive: 4x Hover L2S and 6x Thrust L1S
All internal space are filled by armor, with at least double layers on all sides.
This thing is easily getting me multi-kills despite my terrible driving.

My own username's Sekibanki, stolen from a Touhou character.

Most of my stuff just focuses on massive walls of armor without much else. Best rig, the Battle Master I put way up in the start of the topic, still only has 4xT2 top lasers at tier 3, but hell can it take a beating.

The hilarious part comes when I still get a half-dozen kills with only two guns left, lol

That thing flies?! Dayum.

There's a fatal flaw in your design though. The front lasers block the sight of the back ones and their shots won't go through them. The lasers fire can be blocked by your own tank. It would serve a fine anti-air device but since you already fly, only the guns in the perimeters will do something.
Also there's a thing in the game that I recently found out called Gun Alternator that severely reduces the efficiency of your flying tank. There's a nice description of this in the first post here:

I got the basics easily enough and got how to build properly since it's not unsimilar to RA2 when it comes to weapon and armor placement, but what are the best designs ? I think there's a limit on weapon spam effectiveness as 123 does it.

What is your platoon ?

The platoons don't have names. It's just something temporary that allows you to play in the same team as your friends.
As far as I understood, you have to make sure your friends are online if you want to invite anyone. And because friend lists were not implemented yet, it's a real pain to arrange platoons.

Clever, 123. Is it effective?

Sorry I didn't notice, Mystic. I was focusing more on the new builds of mine and their effectiveness, specifically made to own and annoy low tier players.
I have made one successful true flyer bot for tier 1 and I'm working on a more powerful one for tier 2.

Honestly weapon spam bots like 123 s'ones are NOT such a good idea cause bots with bigger guns are gonna outrange it, also low tier guns have low armor so it's gonna get deweaponed easily by a tank with a fewer bigger guns.

Speaking of weapon spam... I just ran into this thing while fighting. Keep in mind that this is a Tier 4 match.

You know the whole point of weapon spamming is so you don't run out of weapons when you get hit.  Damage however is capped at 5 guns.

Having a wide open pilot really doesn't help at all.

Also here's another game mechanics thingy that you might be interested on.
I was puzzled with the fact that my IronClad flew/hovered at about the same speed both with 1 and 3 big thrusters. I questioned this in their forum. Turns out you can't go faster than what the wheels/hover blades say in the their description. No matter how many thrusters you put there, the bot will restrict you to the speed of your lowest upgraded wheel/hover blade.
So basically if you have the top wheels and top thrusters of the game and one starter wheel in your bot, it will only go at the starter wheel's max speed.

Exception to this are the true flyers

Exeption to this rule are the turning wheels, which have no power and thus don't overwrite powered wheels. (If they did you'd lose all speed.)

I've also seen some guys having flying tanks, aka wheeled bots that also FLY.
