Twitch TV plays Pokemon, ie the funniest thing ever. Basically, the chat plays this rom of Pokemon Red by typing in a command (up down left right a b start or select) and the character does it. Of course, with over 50k viewers and a 20-second delay, it's, uncoordinated to say the least - lots of the player character going round in circles. As of writing, they've accumulated about 100 hours' worth of gameplay and are currently in the fourth gym. Amazingly though, they've managed to acquire the Farfetch'd from the NPC trade, and teach him cut. Current team:

Farfetch'd Level 17
Drowzee, Level 17
Charmeleon, level 34, nicknamed ABBBBBBBK O. Ember has been overwritten, so it has no fire move.
Pidgeot, level 40 (!)
Ratatta, Level 12, I don't know its name, nicknamed JLVWNOOOOOO

And keep in mind that Erika's Pokemon are roundabout Level 30. Here's the stream if you want to give them a hand.

how the hell did TPP get from 5K viewers when /v/ was playing it to 50K viewers when it got its own subreddit. its the 2nd most viewed channel on twitch right now lol.

theres also a bunch of spinoffs being done. same concept but with different games, like tetris,

, and

the tetris one actually uses the original's chat to get the same spastastic gameplay.

JWitz (a very popular Pokemon-based Youtube channel) mentioned it in a video. I assume a good number of the followers came from there.

Baton pass ninjask is so good!

Pokemon showdown has implemented X/Y's 3D sprites, animated and all. They look really nice.
