Just started a new rom called pokemon zeta/omicron and I highly recommend it so far. There's actually an option for nuzlocke so no nonsense and its pretty tough. Ive lost 3 times already and have only gotten to the first gym. Here's my team still grinding before the first gym.

Munchlax is actually an in game trade for a Beedrill that i just so happened to catch in the forest and accidently picked Bellsprout as my starter ( I wanted Magby or at least Horsea) but felt it was destiny and went onward instead of restarting.

Made by people on reddit so theres some dark humor and other funny stuff in the game with a cool story.

Search function told me no one had mentioned this yet, so I present to you, Pokemon Melanite! It's a free (entirely, not "freemium or some other BS) PC Pokemon game made by some guy in his basement, probably. ;D Currently still in alpha, but quite fun even in its current state. Set in a new region, planned to contain all the pokemon from other regions/games, without the need for trading to evolve (read-as: all available via single player).

The Melanite Subreddit is a good resource to surf around on, if you're genuinely interested. I've enjoyed it quite a bit as yet.

Pokedex hints at early Croagunk/Sneasel, now that's cool.

I named my Cobalion after a certain justice incarnate. This is what happened in his first battle.

I approve. *crosses arms in a manly way*

Though I am a bit disappointed that it didn't used any fist- I mean punching attacks. But this again may just be because I am difficult.

Cobalion is quadrupedal, so it wouldn't make sense for it to learn any punching moves; the closest thing to a punching move is Close Combat.
But I have triumphed once more:

Hate to be pedantic about it, but they can't exactly call it a new adventure if it follows the same storyline, even if it slightly alters it or adds new things it is just 'remastered'... the same with 'dramatic new world' unless it isn't Hoenn, or is called Hoenn but has a completely different layout etc., it isn't 'new'.

But still, boxart, get hype... and holy hell, I didn't realise the last part. Some Friday in six months time, get hype.
Yes that sequence of words I just said made perfect sense.
