I prefer honedge personally.

I greatly love Malamar, Pangoro, Yvletal, and Talonflame.

Noivern, Honedge (NOT his evolution though) and the Froakie line also seem nice.

The rest is in it's vast majority outrageously gay, with the exception of ONE pokémon who tries too hard to appeal to 13 year old kids.

Methinks the Froakie line is like the water version of the Treecko line

I'm liking Furfrou for some reason too. He just looks like a pimp imo

Also, Naryar, Honedge can apparently unsheathe itself, revealing a sword. I know you don't like Doublade, but if Doublade can unsheathe its swords like Honedge can, then that makes Doublade the embodiment of dual wielding...

I personally think that's pretty awesome.

Anyway, in other news, I'm liking the male Pyroar and I'm looking forward to Fennekin's final evolution. So far they seem to be taking the path of Torchic with the cute-first, awkward-second pattern, so I'm going to guess that the third one will just be awesome, a la blaziken

So Aurorus has an ice type hyper beam and return.

Not too shabby, just hoping that the rest of it's moves are decent.

>awesome offensive tying
>awful defensive typing

no seriously 4x weak to fighting and steel ? With weaknesses to rock and ground and water and grass as well ? It's like setup bait.

Not to mention that... gayest rock type ever. Especially for a manly type. I bet it has sh**-stats either.

Guys, have you seen Braxien's evolution?
Looks nice, although vastly reminds me of Kitsunes from Japanese mythology.

Too late, the starter fire-type has officially been ruined for this gen.

at least Emboar looks badass, if nothing else.

good fire/psychic type, excepted still gay fire type

grass starter just redeemed itself

water starter is pretty awesome.

Mega Gengar as well, Mega aerodactyl... well it's nice to see aerodactyl getting a boost but I don't think it looks better.

Dang, how am I supposed to choose between Chespin and Froakie?  They're both real badasses in their final stages.  Fennekin's out because I'm getting Mega Charizard X, but beyond that I don't know what.

Mega Kangaskhan, wtf has changed? Is it just the baby leaving the pouch?  Well you're in luck Venusaur, you're not the worst mega evolution anymore.

Flip a coin. Or hack the game and get both. Or trade pokemon with someone else or something.

Mega Kangaskhan has 2 attacks per round. Which makes him pretty awesome.

dear god those megas though

Mega Charizard X is so much yes
Mega Blastoise is so much yes
Mega Blaziken is so much yes
Mega Mewtwo X (but not Y, Y looks kinda ghey) is so much yes
Mega Garchomp, Lucario and Absol is yesssss

Greninja is cool, Chesnaught is cool, Delphox is cool in a weird sort of way, but I see what they were going for with the final evolutions of the starters.

Greninja is like a (in terms of TES) ninja/stealth/agility based class-type pokemon, Chesnaught is the warrior/tank/strength based class type pokemon, and then Delphox is like a mage-class thing.

Anyway, disappointed with furfrou's alternates, but I'm looooving phantump's evolution, and even though it's useless, Klefki is pretty cool too.

Dude you're going through the same dilemma I am. I want Charizard Y though...

Pretty sure I'm going to get Froakie.

I knew sticking with Chespin was a good idea. This is the proof.

These name amalgations are hardly trying anymore. The Pokémon are literally what they say they are.

Fennekin = Fennec Fox + Kindle
Spewpa = Spew + Pupa
Vivillon = Vivid + Papillon
Pyroar = Pyro + Roar

I could go on and on, but I don't think any of the previous games lacked this creativity with the names. Too many puns.

Also I'm using Talonflame for no reason other than its japanese name translates to "fire arrow"
