But in a few months bigger and better tourneys will outcompete this. I'm sorry for you as your intentions are good but chances are with the current system this won't be voted in.

Limiting the parts you can use is a nice different idea. Gives that Scrapheap feeling "you get what you can find".

That show was quite nice I used to watch Scrapheap Challenge whenever I remembered to watch it.

I know, have a scrapheap picture with many hidden components in different sections. Then people pick spots from certain sections and get the components hidden there.

If the list includes something without normals I might enter an edited Swamp Demon.

they're almost all going to be components that get outclassed by others (normals, non ant batteries etc)

I like this idea. Using components that aren't that good in most cases. I might enter this. =]

Maybe only one of each component? It would be more like we were finding stuff from the scrapyard.

Just make sure you allow a lot of weapons. Otherwise a few bot types will be screwed.

Also, can we use something other than the DSL Tournament arena? I feel that it is being used in too many tournaments.

Well, what were you expecting from an arena actually called the Tournament arena?  :P

I just had a chat with the other arenas. They felt nelgected. =[

I think what most people like about the DSL Tournament arena, is that it's an open arena with minimal hazards and low walls. Then you can focus more on the bots fighting, and less about luck with the arena.
