Thanks very much to Reier for the arena skin/RIP logo

Sorry for the lack of flashy presentation with this, I've always kinda sucked at that :3

Spoilers are in white spoiler tags (:P) underneath the match description.
Winner's Bracket
ROUND 1
Battle 1 - Badnik96 vs Craaig vs Reier - ****
A good match and a great way to kick RIP off! And yes, I suck at strengths/weaknesses.
Battle 2 - 123savethewhales vs R1885 vs Urjak - ****
A quick match, but nonetheless very exciting!
Battle 3 - JoeBlo vs Pwnator vs Thyrus - ***
A bit more drawn out than the last match, and I'm sure one of the contestants will be having a pure 'FUUUU-' moment...
Battle 4 - Doomkiller vs Jack Daniels vs The Ounce - ***
A pop-up, a gut ripping VS and a poker. Good match but... the outcome could be predicted. Most of this match is in double-speed as recommended by Reier. It looks alright :P
Battle 5 - Condor33 vs STC vs Trumpetguy - ***
Seems one sided... then turns on it's head. Another FUUU- moment, I think
Battle 6 - 090901 vs Clickbeetle vs TriTon - ***
Lots of shell spinner action here, although one contestant won't be happy with what his robot does :P
Battle 7 - Naryar vs Rusty vs Somebody - **
Slightly tedious match - lots of circles. Best moment is definately at the start!
Battle 8 - Jonzu95 vs Man Manu vs Rusty - ****
A good match, with another surprise!

ROUND 2
Battle 1 - Reier vs Urjak - ****
Quick but very action packed. Could go either way!
Battle 2 - Pwnator vs The Ounce - *****
I personally really like this match, hence the 5*. Suspense, drama, and action all in the space of a minute or so! There's a few good camera shots here too :P
Battle 3 - Click vs STC - ****
I don't know what to say anymore.
Battle 4 - Jonzu95 vs Naryar - ***
More circles? XD

Semi FinalsSemi Final 1 - STC vs Urjak - *****
Lots of action here, both bots could've won this!
Semi Final 2 - Naryar vs Pwnator - *****
Another 5* match, this one doesn\'t even need the double speed!

Grand Final
Pwnator vs Urjak - *****
A great match with robots flying all over the place! A fitting end to the Winner's Bracket

Yay, might win my first round! Also your tourney speed is immense. Yesterday entries closed and today you have the splash and brackets. Possibly shortest time between deadline and splash is tourney history. Well done indeed!

interesting ...

Thyrus and Pwn

good news is neither has top armour :-D

give thumbs up to Thyrus for something nice and visually different

pwnator may give me problems.. lucky Codebreaker has a smartzone under the wedges so if a robot goes under its not coming out the other side in one piece :P

good showing from everyone I think the Sheck Spinners will give me the most trouble in this tournament, including clicks work of art lol, there just wasnt a whole lot I could do to codebreaker to combat them

It's good to see you guys all seeming so enthused :D

And thanks MM :P

Personally, I'm not fancying my chances, but I get to make the tourney and watch it unfold, so I'm not complaining :P

Predikshuns!

Four Legged Johnny - Circle of Thorns III minus the flails. A bot to watch out for.

Sunrise - A scaled-down Pyrotechnic Display. Worried about the drive, though.

Dance of the Freaky Circles - Dunno if they are NPCs or NPCFs, but it should do decently.

Megawhirl V - Would be terrifying if it's wedgy enough.

Totally Not Iron Spaghetti - Gah. D:

Calypso - Cute, but sadly that's about it. :(

Razor Storm - Dunno how this bot will fare, but I like it.

Falchion - If the wedge works, it might pull off a surprise win or two.

Code Breaker - If it can solve System Flailure's stability problems, then beware.

BioShock - Wedges don't stick out much, but might be a nuisance to shell spinners.

Why yo teef so big? - Main menu can totally build good bots if he wants to. It should
have a good run.

Blade Barrier - Yay anti-shell! <3 <3 <3

Paper Cut 3 - It's not wedgy enough to beat all of the bots in NAR AI, but if bots get above it, PC3 can be a major pain in the butt.

BLADE.EXE - I don't think a 259 disc is enough for a MW, but it won't matter that much if it's wedgy.

Cadet - Fast, wedgy and destructive. PA skirts = <3

Ripterra Returns - WHY IS THE CHASSIS STILL SO BIG >:E

Paraponera - Dunno how many razors it packs, but it should still be a pain in the butt for the shell.

Dirt Devil 4 - Awesome design, not enough weapons. Too bad. :(

Desperation - It would've been a whole lot better as a popup. It should act fast or the weapon extenders would go bye-bye.

Nero 1.5 - I hope it doesn't pull off a Rage III. XD

Vertical Impulse - Very powerful, but might be too powerful for its own good.

Cute FTW :P
I'm hoping it may be able to surprise a few people though (:

Oh and Falchion has 2 vertical discs that spin upwards - it tends to work as a good gut-ripper, while the vlad spikes hold the opponent there.

Predictions for round 1

1) Badnik could do well here but I think both bots are capable of giving it grief, I think Reier will take out this round

2) things could backfire for urjak with 2 VS's, overturning them and they could take out the bursts but if its lucky I think it will win via double oota

3) my fight :P its almost like rock paper scissors, Pwnator will find it hard to be Thyrus, Thyrus will find it hard to beat me, and I will find it hard to beat Pwnator, I may win if a get a couple of good shots to the top... it only takes a few

4) hard to really say, I would say DK but ounce is awkward to be hit for that design but DK chassis is hard to be hit also... I think I will just wait and watch this one :-D

5) On the basis of the last time I saw a DSL Rammer vs Flail SS fight.. the flail bot lost via havok

6) Triton doesnt have the best weapon set up to fight Sheck Spinners, I have faith (no pun intended) in Click :-D

7) rusty will have a quick death in this match :P the speed of naryar will be the deciding factor here

8) I will say Man Manu here, if Jonzu gets under MM the extenders block any real damage

:-D

Predictions!

Four Legged Johnny: Circle of Thorns II clone. Should do decent... it might win it's first fight.
Second Sunrise: Very well built and the best VS in the tournament. Obviously it can beat Ribbs's bot, but now can Urjak send it OOTA ?
DOTFC: Meh. It's pretty much average. Insufficient drive for a SnS and if a popup gets under it it's pretty much toast (especially with the 400 HP Mags)
Megawhirl V: Weapons with normals = bad. It looks cool, but i'm not sure if the design is competitive against today's bots.
TNIS: Cloning anyone ? It is obviously going to win it's first fight but with very little effort.
Calypso: Obvious weapon fail, but it's the host's bot after all.
Razor Storm: It looks good. It's probably going to have a hard time fighting 2 popups however.
Falchion: Nice name but i don't get that bot. Is that a popup?
Code Breaker: And another clone. It's not badly built, but it has a skirt hinge wedge however and it's pretty much toast against Pwn.
Bioshock: Not badly built as well. It lacks defense however.
Why yo teef so big ?Is that a Little Red Riding Hood reference ? It does look pretty decent.
Blade Barrier: Anti-gut-ripper and anti-flail shell spinner design. It has performed well in testing and i am very confident about my first fight.
Paper Cut 3: Solid true popup. Pwn has become pretty good in DSL. It will most likely win it's first fight.
BLADE.EXE: Ribbs is finally being somewhat creative... I never got good results with that type of VS, but i know for a fact that the wedges are going to be very good if they are on metal hinges.
Cadet: Reier is a top DSL builder, we all know that. It is very well built, and it's first 2 opponents are pretty easy. First fight = win.
Ripterra Returns: Slow and a weak weapon. It has good armor, but heavy armor doesn't win fights. Disappointed by a builder that could have become one of the top DSL ones, but NO !
Paraponera: I pretty much like the idea of the shell spinner panels as defense, and it makes that popup slightly out of the norm. (Would have been better with skirts however)
Dirt Devil 4: Very creative, but i still have to give this bot the SFTW award because such armor fails on a hammer, plus no wedge and an insignificant weapon. Sorry Thyrus, but you just can't get far.
Desperation: Short hammers with steep wedges fail. Period.
Nero 1.5: It is too fast for my taste and for having a good wedge.
Vertical Impulse: And i was expecting a shell spinner... It might be built by an elite DSL builder, but it barely deals any damage and entering a flipper in a tournament is just too much of a risk for me. We'll see.

First round predictions:
Reier wins
123STW wins (not sure)
Pwn wins
Ounce wins (not sure)
C33 wins
090901 wins (not sure)
Naryar wins
Man Manu wins

Round 1 - not to be vain or anything, but I think I have a fairly high chance of winning.
Round 2 - Pretty Sure 123STW will win here.
Round 3 - I can see Pwn taking the cake pretty easy here.
Round 4 - Not sure what JD's or DK's bots do here. But Ounce's bot looks pretty good...
Round 5 - C33 cause of cheet flailz.
Round 6 - What does Desperation do...? Not gonna call this because I really don't know.
Round 7 - Naryar wins.
Round 8 - Pretty sure MM takes it here.

Yup... I really didn't want to enter another shell spinner, and I had just recently built Vertical Impulse so I thought, why not? I am not expecting to win this tournament, but I should have some exciting fights.

As for all the other robots, the shell spinners worry me the most. I should have a chance at putting the VSs OOTA so I might be able to win round one.
Any comments would be appreciated. :D

I'm against a wedged poker and a small VS, two bots that could easily tear off my wedges.  Not really what I wanted, but the wedges did well during testing, so I could do well in the first round.
