the arena isnt the problem it was the fact that some of the stock components had been upgraded to DSL level while others haven't, I just copied the whole arenas file from DSL 2 to my Stock

also if you have the 1.3 patch use F10 and you can move the camera view anywhere you wish by using the right click for up down left and right.... scroll for forward and back.... and the left click to pivot

dam I take it that I just got stripped of my final placing

Hey, Just wanted to give you props for putting the tourney together and enduring all the anguish of setting it up.  You are right that this is your first tourney. You are doing a great job and we all make mistakes.  Tourney hosts, always, traditionally take some flak for things not working out or being precise... but we use these things to learn and have more fun next time.  Keep up the good work!  You have my respect, I will enter any future tournaments you have.

I apologize if it seems like I'm trying to make your life miserable, but I'm really trying to help you. Mixing Stock and DSL is unfair for the reasons that JoeB said, and people shouldn't be winning or losing based on unintended upgrades/downgrades to their bots. I have tons of respect for anyone that spares time to do a service, like run any tourney, for the community.

OK thanks guys i will attempt to redo the match in stock, now!

HELP! The bindings in my stock are strange:

I origionally replaced the first line of the bindings which was for ALARM with an entries bindings, i then started the game and sure enough the entry was there but ALARM was there as well, even though i'd deleted the .bot file in the program files folder, ALARM had shifted to the second slot i tried to start a match with the entry and ALARM it crashes, can anyone tell me how to put in an entry in these bindings?
I blame physics.

1st option .. you dont need to use Alarm so just keep putting them in the game and never try a match with a stock bot (assuming this is a new RA2 install for this tournament)

2nd option... apply Starcore 3 to your stock ra2 and the bindings file is set out the same as DSL 2

You don't have SC? That might have something to do with it, but I'm no expert.

I dont know how ALARM is still there, but that other one most likely crashes because you dont have Omni.py in your AI folder.

(Yes I am back from my trip to Lapland and Norway)

Right installed SC and unfortunatley an entry wich was working in DSL now doesent work in starcore, i need either JoeBlo to film this match too or i need people to accept the fact that i did it in DSL which one would you guys prefer.

The stats are changed in DSL, so...I think it'd be unfair if you didn't do it again.

as much as I want the DSL match to count it cant.. if I remember right I killed Pwnators bot in that match but in DSL Razors are stronger while the blue tribars weren't improved (to my knowledge) meaning Natural High could destroy them quicker

actually, if a bot is made in stock, the razor tip uses the origional unchanged razortip1.txt but in DSL it is in the Styles folder as DSLrazortip1.txt

This means Stock bot should have nothing changed from what they were, exept wheels possibly? I havent paid attention to them, but I guess they are made in the sameway shinyhub.txt for stock and in DSL its DSLshinyhub.txt

Only difference in the .txt of stock parts is that they are hidden unless you use the cheatbot2 code.
