Concepting doesn't seem to be working for me at the minute, I can't seem to build something I'm happy with. I've still got a backup bot if I can't come up with anything else, though, so I will be entering. =]

Then tell Clickbeetle about it, then he might reserve you a spot.

You should have told him before hand, because that's when he would have allowed you to have a spot saved.

I also noticed how in the test run click did that the most deadly spinner in the whole test was the first one out, which could mean something...

I am again years out of practice but thought to send the last updated bot I worked on.

Will see if I am still at least semi-competitive.

Clickbeetle, let me know if I submitted wrong or committed some error in the bot or AI.

I would submit War Machine as well for the fun of it but it has too many casters. (Will have to see if I can adjust that fast enough)

Just to clarify, Hax Mode is too new and controversial to be considered a "normal" building technique, therefore it is NOT allowed.
Do you know how tempted I am to make a bot and use HAX mode to stack 2 pinks together on it, just to get it disqualified during the filming stage?
I'm constantly swatting my mouse away from the RA2 game I have on my desktop.

tsk, tsk.. mr Beetle

Not setting a good example with all your sign ups system rule breaking :P

What do you mean?  All of the required rules are clearly stated.  And I'm major league so I can open signups whenever I want right?

I thought about copying the full rules into this thread so you could do your "these are the rules they cannot change" thing... but what's the point, I'm an admin, if I wanted to be cheaty I could just edit your post. :P

Anyway I'm up to 10 bots now.  It's going a bit slower than I expected... come on people, don't tell me I'll have to extend signups another week just to get enough bots!

Did you even bother to read the rules?
How you make Alarm Clock Pizza is:
Step 1: You buy an alarm clock from the store, and then you have to break it and put it in the sauce.
Step 2: Fold the sauce in 5 slices and put it in the dough.
Step 3: Paint the eggs with a pitcher of a clock showing what time you want to wake up and eat pizza for breakfast.
Step 4: Put the eggs in the dough.
Step 5: Make it flat into a round shape and draw the time you want on it.
Step 6: Put some old steel to prevent other peple from stealing it.
Step 7: Make it flat and cut into 60 slices 1 for each minute in 1 our.
Step 8: Put in the oven set the timer to 30048813.2884 seconds and put the temperature on 'Volcano' setting.
Step 9: If you think it is take to long, then get yor alarm clock and set it to now so that it will ring and you can take it out.
Step 10: Take it out uv the uvin wen it is redy and go to bed. In the morning eat pizza and also eat yor hands bi mistake.

3.11 If a bot has vertical spinning weapons and it loses some weapons, the remaining weapons will be arranged in order to keep the bot as balanced as possible.

That's what you saw.

Dawned on me that rule:

4.2 All legal bots received during that time will be accepted; there is no limit on the number of entries.

Does not mean more than one entry per person. So I probably do not need to push to remake Warmachine to fit the 6 caster max rule.

I did do more testing of my entry and it has been beating a solid 36HS design from last year, 18 out of 20 matches (your mileage may vary and another 36HS could still consistently beat my entry, oh well). Like any tournament though, could lose wheels early on, could get unlucky pair up with another HS design early in the match ups and both lose most of their weapons, could on a quirk Havok out of the arena. Anything could happen. Looking forward to the videos. I like this format Clickbeetle, should make for some fun matches (and represents people fixing their bots to the best of their ability between rounds). In my testing my entry could take out many types of HW opposition in 40 to 60 seconds from a few years ago but often not in less than 30 seconds. So other designs that just focus on just surviving might do much better.
