I lost, but its still fun to watch Quick speed around the arena, and send SkinHead flying(If only that did some damage).

Ok, guys. We've encountered a small problem....
It stems from taking over someone else's unfinished project, and also from a valid point that all "Rules" should be posted on the first post of the Tourney's thread. The problem is that Cuda mentioned later in the thread that all bots were to be plastic armor. Several entrants apparently did not see this later post, and submitted other-armored bots. So we have to redo somethings here.
Therefore, the entrants who want to can (A) redo their bots, or (B) leave them as-is. If they choose (A)to redo them, then the bots must be kept in the same basic style as before(no change of a HS into a rammer,... etc., and must mod them in accord with the following Rules:
1. DSL
2. any armor is acceptable.
3. no AAM, cheatbot2 or aftermarket parts

4. free to use all in-game, botlab 'Attachment' glitches.
5. everything must be realistic (no overlapping or interferential components).
6. only bat stacking is OK.

You must get your modded bots in by this Sunday afternoon, else it will be assumed that you want option (B) for your old bot to be used. Sorry for the tight deadline.

(I'll probably start a new thread and delete this one when things are in place and ready to begin videoing the battles.)

Input is appreciated. :)
-Arrogance is a quantity devoid of quality...
-As a client once told me "This is my story, and it's sticking to me!"
-Relationships these days are like the 'Arrival' section of the airport: a lot of baggage is being revealed in one place, and not a lot of it is being correlated to its real owners...

I rather not have to redo battles, especially ones that where close.

When you say all glitches, does that mean no realistic rule?

^My words exactly. The rules 3 and 4 conflict pretty badly.

So, is it legal to resend new bots?
Also, will the brackets be mixed up?

It seems kind of unfair to the winners of the battles, but this will probably be for the best, as Cuda didn't make the rules very clear.

Well... Mad did not say anything about redoing the battles, and perhaps it is any glitch used in the bot lab that would produce something still buildable in real life.
Any comments would be appreciated. :D

So Burst stacking without overlapping?
Put this onto your signature if you were part of this crappy fad in '03.

I'm thinking... you can stack batteries and such, but when it comes to weapons, you can't.

Stacking batteries is unrealistic, and more than stacking weapons.

Might do a few changes... and get Titanium 3 for Iron Fist 3, as well as Omni.py.

So can we just update the bots, or can we send new ones?

And is the tourney just going to restart?

Even though I am not involved in this tourney... I just wanted to add my 2 cents to maybe help you all through a frustrating situation.

First of all... Thank you Mad, Sage, and everyone involved in making this tourney a reality. It takes time and effort to pull all of this off, and (frankly) there is little to no reward for the efforts other than a pat on the back from those who appreciate it.

It sucks that a slight oversight completely changes the landscape of the tournament but that happens.  For the sake of keeping everyone happy we should all accept the decisions made by the coordinators of the tournament and move on. If a final decision is made, please respect it and not complain or whine about the outcome and how it affects you solely. Just remember this is all for fun, if you lose because something was changed or an outcome was different, tough... suck it up and enjoy the next tournament. The coordinators do not need pressure when it comes to devoting their free time for putting together these things for our entertainment.

That being said, just have fun, relax.  If they have to redo the whole tourney, then they have to redo the whole tourney. (Which i would encourage, honestly)  Too many people have ruined tournaments because they cant stand to be without "winners pride" but, really, you should be proud that you built a cool bot and are participating in a great tournament with some of the most awesome people this side of the internet.

The key is to relax and have fun... if you focus on that... it will motivate people to host more tournaments in the future.

Thanks for reading.
